Fairbairn
Motherwell state they'll chase the SPFL for compensation if they need to give temporary contracts to players due to playoff final being moved after 1st June. I'd imagine the rest will follow suit shortly. I know Rangers have something like 16 players out of contract on 31st May.
At U Peter
Would it have to be temporary contracts or could they not play as "trialists" ?
tartanhibee
The only way that the season will have to be extended is if whoever wins tomorrow gets to the playoff final aswell. We are still along way from this happening.
Parklife
Would it have to be temporary contracts or could they not play as "trialists" ? I'd imagine, if playing as trialists, they'd be unpaid and not protected by any insurance policies (which would be part of their normal contracts). dipped flake
Aye, fair play. Super Sallary would have come out with some 'wearrapeepil no surrender' nonsense! like wee Barry has done this morning
John_B81
Quite simply, the SPFL should've looked at the fixtures months ago, see that Hearts v Rangers was, as they say, a likelihood for TV and move all fixtures then to a 12.30 k/o on the Saturday. That way, nobody would've had any complaints. Clubs have every right to be peeved. Doncaster (and others) need to go. Get Barry Hearn in to run the show! Far too much.
Ormond
like wee Barry has done this morningRead that. He mentioned it would've been a great boost for Scottish fitba's image if they won the EUFA Cup. True that. But after the final that year I was sure Rangers fans had shown the World an "image" of Scottish fitba'.....
