Considering some of the evil, borderline criminal, assaults on our players last night, Hickey in particular, we maybe should've taken advantage of these "play-ons" to thud in with a couple of sickeners.  Not usually for things like that, but they were a right shower of dirty bstrds who could easily have had a couple of reds.

Im up for matching fire with fire

My old boy said exactly that on Saturday. What would happen if a flag wasn’t raised until later, a player got a career endibg injury and a red card for the defender, does it all get scrapped because it was offside?

I'm sure there have been a couple where the card has been given even though the play is pulled back.

It's just daft

Just back home from Poland and watching the highlights (as you do), Ukraine should have had 2 players red carded in the first half!

Craig Gordon!?!? I actually think he's some kind of robot.

(How annoying was the netting in front of us and how annoying is this daft non flagging pish with offisides!?)

All very good but would we get a play off spot for finishing bottom or second bottom in league A which being honest theres a good chance we will.

These games have been great and its brilliant us topping the group because of the pot2 advantage and the play off spot to fall back on but being in league A next nations league is surely a disadvantage in terms of trying to get another play off spot.

Either way we have done great but it just seems like going up a league might reduce our chance of another play off spot next time.

All outweighed by being 2nd seeded for the actual draw.

Robertson was carded for protesting about Dykes' equaliser v Israel being disallowed. It was then given after a VAR check but the card wasn't rescinded.  Mental.

Aye there are definitely a few examples of cards when the play has been called back etc. Total madness, could find yourself missing out on a game for a card you didn't have to risk getting

It’s not that mental. If he had punched the ref should he have stayed on the park once the goal was reinstated?

Maybe if the ref had then Robertson wouldn't have used dissent.

You do have a point in fairness but Robertson should know better. He plays with VAR every week and knows these things will be checked. Getting booked and risking a suspension in a later game is just daft.

The ref is hardly going rescind the booking either once VAR overturns the decision. It’s either a bookable offence or it isn’t.

I’m not the one that thinks bookable offences should be ignored because VAR changes a decision. Learn the rules mate.

No, you're the one that thinks protesting a ridiculous decision and levelling a ref are the same thing.  😂  Anyway, not ignored - rescinded, as clearly Robertson was in the right and the ref made an arse of it.  Mate.

I don’t think they are the same thing at all. It was an exaggerated comparison.

We don’t know exactly what Robertson said but if, for example, he called the ref a prick and was booked for that the ref can’t rescind the booking because the offence actually happened.

VAR isn’t some sort of magical time machine that erases everything that happens after the incident in question.

Cards will only be rescinded by the ref on field if VAR proves the offence didn’t happen.

Robertson was not “in the right” at all. Anyone that gets booked for dissent (whether the ref is right or wrong) only has themselves to blame. VAR would have overturned the decision whether Robertson had a go at the ref or not.

Almost as daft as us not getting a corner after the decision to award us a penalty was overturned for their guy heading the ball out of play!
