  3. I'm mostly happy with Steve Clarke, but his constantly ignoring Morgan and Gauld is a puzzler. Gauld was great in Portugal and Morgan is really improving. Morgan, especially, would be great inclusion. He's always been a great dribbler. I can't see either player being included in the upcoming friendlies. One player I think will be on the plane to Germany is Barron. As for Doak? No chance.
  4. 🥴 It's actually ideal as they consider him fit enough for first team action but don't play him for too long👌
  5. Tournament winners & predictions - Think it’s either between France & dare I say… England to win it with Portugal as 3rd favourites. Can’t see any of the of the others touching those 3. Also cannot see Germany being anywhere near as bad as they’ve been. Looks like they managed to find a system that works and a starting lineup that can play that system as a team in the most recent international break in March. For Scotland - It’s more in hope than expectation. If we had our strongest squad available then I’d really fancy us to get runners up or qualify as one of the 4 best 3rd placed nations but right now, I’m not too sure as I was previously. Missing both our first choice RB’s and the huge gap in quality between those two and the possible replacements gives me the fear. I’m sure it’s giving Clarke a lot to think about on who he is going to play in that position. The Germany game is a free hit for me. It will be a bonus if we got a point or bagged a very unexpected win against the host nation on their back yard on the opening night but if we don’t get anything from that game then it’s not the end of the world. I’m more looking more towards the other two games that we must take points from - Switzerland & Hungary. 4 points from those two games is the target and if we achieve that, then it’s a very good possibility this Scotland team will have made history & be deservedly lauded for it by reaching the knockout rounds. Anything after that is a bonus. Plans for the tournament - I depart Edinburgh en route to Germany early hours on Thursday 13th June (1 month today). Absolutely buzzing for my 1st ever major tournament would be an understatement & even moreso that I have tickets for our 3 group games! Staying in Munich till the 16th with my Dad who is coming with me on the 13th. He will head back home to Edinburgh on the 16th and I’ll be getting the train onto Cologne that same day & will be staying there till the 21st and then onto Stuttgart that day & staying there till the 25th. Will still to try post on here occasionally whilst in Germany & share a few pics/vids of the atmosphere around the area and of course inside the stadiums.

  7. An article from a year ago has little relevance especially considering he's barely played this season and White has been a standout. It's not common knowledge that he joined to play RB either, as stated previously, he can play in a number of positions which Arteta seems to like. He had Saka at LB at one point, Jesus either ST or out wide, Havertz playing CM or CF, White playing as a RB, Tomiyasu and Kiwor playing LB despite being more traditional CB's, Trossard playing CF/Wing. Don't really understand Moyes comments considering Scaloni won the world cup with Argentina, Southgate managing england etc. I'm not sure if i'd be thrilled with Moyes being the next manager to be honest with the way the game is going nowadays even though he's probably got the best creditionals of anyone that may be interested. Think he will slowly decline once he leaves West Ham and will move around from team to team until he accept a gig with Scotland.
  8. Really hope he goes bologna. They should be given first refusal on all our young players.
  9. Bologna, Coventry and Swansea all interested in Connor Barron. Sassuolo and Cagliari have both already shown an interest.
  10. I'd be genuinely shocked if scotland fans rushed the ground the way the England fans did.
  11. One thing that I think the Scotland manager needs is respect. Respect from the players and media. Its one of the reasons why I dont think a foreign manager would work (as we couldnt afford a really top respected manager) I like Martin as a manager but at this point in his career I could see it going south with a couple of bad results. Im not a huge fan of his style of play but Moyes would tick a lot of boxes. Similar to Clarke he wouldnt get too high or low depending on results. Was never totally sold on McInnes but the job he did at Aberdeen looks better as the years go by and he has done well so far at Killie.
  12. The kids showing the adults how to end a title winning season
  13. Big games this midweek, it'll be good to see St Johnstone host Ross County, live on Sky.
  14. I doubt the “scene’s” would have been any different at Hampden had Scotland reached a final they were hosting
  15. Looking for 2 tickets
  16. https://footballia.eu/teams/scotland It has all European Championships matches (as far as i know) and 132 Scotland games. It's certainly a better use of time than binging "The Sopranos", etc. If you want to download the games, get a browser video downloader like 1DM. Enjoy.
  17. One can only hope. Sarwar's speech today still pretending that the 2 govts will happily work together because that's what Labour are all about...
  18. Oh well, that's probably him fucked then
  19. As far as I'm concerned, Clarke can have the gig as long as he wants it. If he does go, it would be Moyes for me. Clarke's contact runs out in 2026, so it'll he a while.
  20. Remember Lucy Letby and the doubts that nearly all of us had ? https://archive.ph/2024.05.13-100250/https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2024/05/20/lucy-letby-was-found-guilty-of-killing-seven-babies-did-she-do-it
  21. Put Sunak's quote on one billboard and Starmer's quote about Labour being the party of English nationalism on another and SNP won't need to campaign next election. Job done!
  22. Must have been a real freak injury. It's the sort of injury that quite a few heavy duty bodybuilders get when overloading their muscles{usually the bicep). The muscles gets torn right off the bone and ends up nearer their wrist. They are never usually the same again.Who knows how Hickey got that injury playing football or even doing the type of gym work that footballers do.So unlucky to say the least.
