I think Gilmour is an outstanding wee player and has played in a number of great games for us but I think against the better teams, we'd be better off with a more physical presence in there as off the ball, Gilmour doesn't have that natural physique to compete well enough at the top level. He is much more suited to playing in a possession based team like your Barcelona's etc.

There's no reason why Doak can't be bled into the squad when he is a very talented player playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world under one of the world best coaches and there are potentially 26 places up for grabs and only around 19/20 players actually play

Just a ridiculous statement, he has been very good considering his age and experience whenever he has played for Liverpool, he is still a young teenager not even 19 yet and is adapating to mens football.

Clarke is hesitant to change which is part of the issue. Our striker department is a major concern and not to include the likes of Conway is quite baffling to me. Why didn't we give him a go in the friendly games!?

His argument is as good as anyone elses at the moment, no point in being "loyal" to the same strikers who are no longer doing the business especially with a big tournament coming up, this is where Clarke should be more ruthless IMO especially with friendlies coming up

Don't agree at all, you pick the best players available that get you a result. There's a big argument there now that McBurnie is or will be a better option to play and this is the time to try it out (hence the reason Shankland played against the Dutch).

I think we can all agree that Clarke just doesnae fancy Morgan or Gauld and Fraser has fucked it for himself due to his attitude in the past otherwise he would of been in every squad upto now

Yeah considering we will likely only have three games to play then having four keepers is just excessively safe. Would rather have someone like a Tommy Conway, Max Johnston, Bowie, Bowat in rather than a couple of the useless plodders we usually have in the squad

I've had a lot of coaching under him during my youths so know first hand how good he is, would be a great choice for our young players. I think Tam Courts would suit the job and he did well with us (Utd) but as soon as another opportunity came along he jumped ship for somewhere that was hardly a step up. His ego will be too big to take the job on IMO, he'll only take it if he's desperate
