  1. Past hour
  2. Tbf if you get 20 games out of him for a season that’s not bad as he’s still quality at SPL level
  3. What's he's capable of? He hasn't done anything to suggest he's capable of anything special. He's had a couple of impressive wee moments for Liverpool and that's it. Let's not label the kid the next Messiah until he actually starts doing some serious damage. Hungary, Switzerland and Germany won't have heard of him because there is very little to hear about.
  4. If you say so, no worth arguing over🙄
  5. Yeh? I don't really understand that logic. We need doak to start proving himself wether that's for Liverpool or Scotland. Currently there is no secret. The lads a nobody who has barely played first team football. We need him to impress massively in these friendlies so that Clarke decides he might play him in our group matches. He only got in the squad because it got extended to 26 players. The lad could be playing for Rotherham in a few years.
  6. Yeh i think it makes clarkes life a bit easier. All three were going to get serious gametime and now that dykes is gone Clarke will be forced to only choose between 2 guys on who he starts and who brings off the bench. I think that will relieve some stress as to what the right decision is to make. Dykes hasn't been that great recently as well and I think shankland could really be a surprise package in this tournament and now he's now pretty much guaranteed to be playing a large part in all three of our games.
  7. I agree that it might end up being a blessing. Trying to give all 3 significant and fair game time means none really get a fair crack of the whip. I think one huge mistake Clarke made recently was starting Dykes vs Northern Ireland. It should have been another start for Shankland, who could have established himself as our first choice striker that day. Instead, he is still somewhat trying to prove himself.
  8. Your spot on here. The team will believe they can get something, we did it against Spain and we were looking very good against Holland. Germany would be wise not to underestimate us, and they are going to have the heavy weight of the nation expecting big things from them.
  9. For those going to Munich I'd recommend Augustiner who make some great beers though as some have said above, they tend to be 5% upwards so a bit stronger than lagers in the UK
  10. Fair play m8. I’ll make the trip back some day, just not sure when 👍
  11. First Clarke Press conference since the injury to Dykes -
  12. Official is on the left in all three pics.
  13. We know what he's capable of. Germany, Switzerland and Hungary have probably never even heard of him, that's what I was getting at with my 'strange logic'
  14. Love watching Bobby Mac - what a story. Must have backed him to win in every tournament since he won the Italian. Obvs never backed him this week! Mate had him at 80s.
  15. Munich in particular looks like it’s always wet in June. It’s the rainiest month of the year with double the rainfall of Glasgow in June so I wasn’t optimistic beforehand although looks like they’ve had a particularly bad spell. Should get better when we move up to Koln
  16. Today
  17. I think 60 plus mins for each striker in either game would be best. Give shankland 60mins v Gibraltar and Adams 60mins v Finland. The other striker gets the remainder in each game. I actually think dykes being injured could be a blessing in disguise as Clarke will not have the confusion of choosing who he thinks is best to bring off the bench in the euros. It's less hassle for him trying to juggle who he thinks will be the best options. Our striker situation is effectively just a straight battle between shankland and Adams.
  18. You can absolutely transfer SSC. I am an SSC member but missed out and would happily buy from you if you want to message me?
  19. That's strange logic. There has to be a secret to start with before it even gets out. Doaks never done anything for Liverpool or Scotland yet. He needs a chance in these friendlies to show what he can do and if he performs well then he should get chances in the euros. As it stands hes way down the pecking order in terms of getting gametime.
  20. Need to get your plastic pitch ripped up quickly for the snake in the grass 😜
  21. Looks like its going to be similar to Wembley unless there is a major turnaround over the next week. What made Wembley worse was when we were watching the Czech - Croatia game on tv, Glasgow was baking in the sun.
  22. I think Hungary are a dangerous team because they have achieved some brilliant results in recent years with a squad that is quite poor in terms of players playing for top clubs. That worries me more than a side who is full of stars but are not a great unit and poorly managed.
  23. 😂 Unnecessary use of the word 'emergency' 🙄 Got confirmation through of postal vote application though it might be pointless now as just had reheated rice for my lunch ☠️
  24. Me going there on 12th June, for 4 days, had not seen anything on the news until I spotted this post/thread - looks pretty bad !
  25. There’s no such thing as a free hit at a major tournament. We need to be looking to get something out of every game to give ourselves the best chance of getting out of the group. The Germans are heavy favourites against us of course but then so were England 3 years ago. Getting something from the opening game would give us a huge boost and massively increase our chances of getting into the last 16.
  26. I'd bite the hand off three points and hope that gets us through.
  27. It’s in our hands to make sure the Germans haven’t already qualified before they face Switzerland by taking something off them in the opening game. They will be under enormous pressure to beat us and if we can keep them from scoring in the first 30 mins that pressure will build.
