  1. Past hour
  2. Been rumoured for a while, it’ll give the holier than thou’rs something to moan about. Also handy as a caretaker manager after we sack the next clown
  3. Cool. Thanks. The Holsgrove one is an interesting one. He's only 24. His passing and defensive stats are very good. We need a ball winning anchorman. He could fill the gap. Hasn't played since January. Guessing he's injured. Just checked. He is injured.
  4. Ah nice one, GroundsKeeper. Will try find the documents from the campervan hire company. 👍
  5. The 2nd hour of James O'Brien's show was dedicated to this today. It's available in the catch-up section of the LBC app.
  6. That sounds like the greatest trip ever to me. Jealous as feck
  7. I know. It's just the way Scotland is not an entity in his mind, it's just subsumed as part of Great England. On another matter I saw The Times (unlike most Scottish papers) did report this in their front page. There was also mention that the Tories were going to try to drive voters to vote for them by resurrecting the fear of Labour having to rely on the SNP. It does make you wonder why. The way Unionist politicians go in about the Union, you'd think voters in England would be more than happy to get rid of us as we're constantly made out to be ungrateful subsidy junky Separatists.
  8. I admire Sturm Graz’s leftfield experiment to see whether a Scotland B squad would be capable of challenging for the Austrian Premier League title
  9. Today
  10. Yes, it’s a small amount in comparison to the UK population, but as you also point it, it’s half of Scotland. If ever proof was needed that the people of Scotland are a bit part in this supposed union then that is it. 50% of the entire population of Scotland are an extremist fringe group according to the PM of Britain..Just think about that . Good for James Obrien. Highlighting something that any objective media outlet would. BBC and the rest of them should be ashamed.
  11. I am extremely optimistic. We can do a Greece and win it.
  12. In 2001 there must have been upwards of 15,000 Scotland fans that were in Brussells for the World Cup Qualifier - we still had a chance of qualifying Anyway the ticketing and stewarding outside of the Heysel was a fucking disgrace and fuck knows how there wasn't an almighty crush - it's one of the few times i was a tad scared as i along with others couldnt move All it would have taken was someone to fall - and that was it You can imagine the anger - yet there was nae scenes like at Wembley
  13. Your right about one thing it is a strange world. Not sure if you are on the wind up with alot of your posts, you are rambling too much pish to be taken seriously. We are not contenders for the euros. Greece were not contenders. Just because they won it doesn't mean that history gets rewritten as them being a serious contender. Same goes for Leicester. Not sure about Denmark because the tournament was only 8 teams and they had some world class players around that time. Probably 5 or 6 teams could be considered contenders in that 92 tournament. I know Denmark didn't initially qualify but so did many other top nations so it's a daft one to bring up. The very word contender implies that you are separated from the majority of participating nations as a team that has serious potential of winning it. Also give it a rest on the England debate. You sound like a bitter child.
  14. Leaving on the Wednesday in the campervan , myself, my best mate and my two boys(15+13) through the tunnel . Wife and daughter flying in for the opening game and staying for others (fan zoning,) Got 2 tickets for each game, pal has tickets for each game as well. Camping in campervan for all 3 games then off to see AC/DC in Vienna on the Wednesday after the Hungary game, Mate flying home after Swiss game Wife and daughter flying home aftet AC DC and me and the boys hopefully get to another Scotland game in Berlin or Munich No return plans made as yet. Hopefully we get a fourth game, but i am not optimistic 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽⚽
  15. i was'nt at Euros when Scotland played at Wembley ; but recall there was 20,000 fans there , lot without a ticket - that was an estimated number i recall saw some footage from Leicester square etc ; and appeared to just be usual squads of guys on the lash , nothing malicious - am not sure what that may have looked like if we'd actually reached a final though mere speculation though the Columbian marching powder does seemed to be quite favoured down south , which will have an effect on the 'bravado'
  16. Of course we're Euro contenders. Were Greece contenders when they won it in 2004?Were Denmark contenders when they won it in 1992? Were Leicester contenders when they won the EPL? Every team who qualified for Euro 24 is a contender. The definition of "contender" is a player or a team who competes to win a prize. People consider a team who has 1 trophy in 94 years as a heavyweight. It's a strange world.
  17. Agreed. The standard can be mixed. I just don't think Steve Clarke rates Gauld. Which is fair enough. It's not a "wrong" or "right" situation. They are more 10s than midfielder. One thing we are lacking is creativity.
  18. It's a level above the Scottish championship. The amount of established international footballers there is far higher than the spl and thats including the old firm.
  19. For a start we are not euro contenders so it's pretty irrelevant stating that no MLS players are in their squads. The top nations don't rely on MLS players in the same way they don't rely on spl or English championship players. Also MLS players tend to play for south American teams due to cultural and proximity reasons. Plenty of the south American teams have MLS players along with the north American teams as well. Albeit it tends to be poor south American teams that use MLS players. You are right that alot of very good footballers go to the MLS for a retirement but they are still very good footballers even at 35/36. I bet Messi and Suarez would tear up the spl for fun if they had been snapped up by the likes of Aberdeen or Hibs. It sounds like I am always sticking up for the MLS but I dont think it's a high standard but the idea that it's somehow a terrible standard and worse than spl is not true imo. And we shouldnt be turning our nose up at players who play there when nations who are similar level to us have them in their squads. I don't think Johnny Russells career was fading. He had done pretty well in the championship with Derby and was 28 when he went MLS. End of the day the likes of Morgan and gauld could be considered if there's a few injuries which there might be and also as the previous poster said Morgan's being played as a striker for red bull. He could be included as one in our squad.
  20. Jim Brown is yer man, facebook or westa..
  21. Messi won’t be in Germany so how will you see the GOAT ?
  22. Will be in Munich with mates but not at the game. Got a single flight as hoping to get a Switzerland ticket, but nae luck so far.
