  1. Past hour
  2. Don't agree with this at all. It's not fair to season ticket holders, and also unfair to the teams that are fighting for promotion, or relegation if jet lag sets in.. Football as we know it round the world is fucked !! Why can't this new generation just leave the beautiful game alone !!!
  3. Thanks guys, not particulary social media savvy.
  4. Dictionary definition : "to Testiculate" to wave one's arms around wildly while talking bollocks
  5. A new restaurant offered Β£100 to anyone who ordered a dish they couldn't supply. An old man went in and asked for giraffe's kneecaps on toast. The waiter returned with Β£100, saying, "You win - we're out of bread."
  6. Yes, that's a shambles with the bronze licence announcement and Buckie learning they had been removed from the playoff against East Kilbride two days before the first leg was due to be played. Only in Scotland.
  7. the consequence of 2 years of self harming from the Scottish Govt.
  8. Croatian FA officially confirmed it weeks ago (was up on their official social media accounts)
  9. So has this been confirmed as Zagreb, I've seen some mention it was but as far as I can see it's not confirmed on SFA or Croatia FC websites?
  10. That'll be Rachel Reeves from what Starmer has declared to be the party of English patriotism.

  14. this made me laugh during a shite day 🀣
  15. I guess that's a more optimistic way of looking at it. I read it more as 'he has no chance but it's not my place to say that'. I hope you're right!
  16. Dougie Ross has a cheek calling for a no confidence vote in anyone. Running the line at Livi tomorrow, hopefully he receives more pelters than usual.
  17. Hi LoganRoy, apologies for the late reply, I have limited capacity at the moment given the build up to the FIFA Congress. Regarding your comment on home nations, I do agree fully that the UK Government has implicated itself, along with many EU governments, and the US government by its continued and prolonged arms sales to Israel. We have been clear in our communications that the Scottish Minister has called for a stop in arms sales to Israel, which has been at odds with communications in Westminster. This does not remove complicity. Nevertheless, it is worth pointing out that military conscription in Israel is mandatory, and there are a number of players who are serving soldiers who play for Israeli national teams. Further to this, as I have specifically mentioned and as is outlined in the letter, the IDF has consistently targeted sport as a tactic in its genocide to try to wipe out Palestinian athletes and Palestinian sports grounds. Erosion of culture is considered a genocidal act. We have linked the names to 97 athletes in our letter but were informed by the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor that this number has risen to 188, 106 of whom are footballers. Once these names are released to us, we will be updating our letter accordingly. We have also detailed how in up to 95% of bullet wound cases, the IDF has, historically, targeted the legs of Palestinians. This is a verified fact by aid agencies and doctors. This often results in amputations, many of which could be avoided if proper treatment were provided but Palestinians have had their hospitals bulldozed and medical staff and patients massacred and they are at the mercy of Israeli authorities, who consistently decline their exit permits. Children are particularly vulnerable when being fitted for prosthetic refits because they are constantly growing so this has devastating effects on their rehabilitation and independence. This is a disability rights crisis. I understand you feel passionately about this, I simply do not have the capacity to respond to every message, and with respect, I do not debate disability and human rights violations. I certainly don’t debate basic child rights either. As per my original post, this petition is for those people who do support Palestinians and empathise with their right to self-identify and have access to their land, water and to be able to exercise their culture, including sport. Regarding request for petitions, if you have been following us online you will see we have been pushing calls for FIFA to use its platform to support victims of genocide in the Congo and other countries: https://www.instagram.com/p/C5GFCqgixhN/?img_index=1. We have been pushing existing petitions for calls for Arsenal to drop Visit Rwanda as its sponsor. These are being constantly linked in our stories: https://chng.it/25Px79sdbW. We are anti-colonial, so I do not believe there is a need for us to recreate these petitions. We use our platform to promote existing material and to give a platform to Congolese and Sudanese people and to promote their sport-related protests, and any relief efforts. We are trying to extend this to other countries. I'm sure we could do this more, and I strive to do so. This is a long message, but I have tried to address your points, but will not be engaging in future debates on this.
  18. The full Thomas Frank quote is a lot more neutral than the actual headline: β€œHe's progressing," Frank said. "As he's been out for so long I’m not counting on [him playing this season] but let’s see what happens in the next weeks - right now I’m not expecting it. "I guess it's not fantastic [for his Euros chances] but that’s not for me to judge.” Headline writers will look to include the most dramatic quote, but they could have as easily focused on the "he's progressing" instead of the "not fantastic". Also, as others have said, Brentford are 10 points ahead of third bottom with four games to play. They're unlikely to throw in a long-term injured player into one of those four games, unless they have an injury crisis. And the last of those four games is on 19 May, just under four weeks before our opening game against Germany and just over three weeks from now, and Scotland v Germany is understandably not Thomas Frank's main focus. So Hickey's got seven weeks to recover before the Euros, is making good progress, but is unlikely to play for his club team between now and the end of the season. Regardless of that not changing, the headline writers will be keen to rule Hickey in or out several times over between now and Steve Clarke announcing his squads for the Gibraltar and Finland friendlies and the tournament itself.
  19. It would be a shame with Kate as I truely believe she is the one to steady the ship,, I would rather watch paint dry than listen to gray πŸ™ˆ
  20. So, in the current worst case (but not that unlikely) scenario that Tierney, Hickey and Hanley are all out, do we actually get any points? I
  21. Are the greens really backing the tories now? πŸ˜† 🀣 πŸ˜‚
  22. Can't see there being over 1000 at this. Just a sort of glorified training session to be honest.Think one stand will be plenty. Hope anybody going enjoys the trip though. πŸ‘
  23. Big eck to return to the SNP as first minister 🀣
  24. Possibly so. I also remember a couple of months ago she tweeted something about having to call an ambulance for her daughter, so maybe the wee soul has a problem and she wants to devote more time to her. Hopefully her daughter is okay though, and if she isn't standing it's for a nicer reason. I think I would too 😟 I didn't think they'd be able to find someone with less charisma than Anas Sarwar but they might have! πŸ˜‚ 🀣
  25. More serious than the VONC in Yousaf Anas Sarwar to lodge vote of no confidence in Scottish Government A fud that is worse than Humza
  26. Quite a bit of yesterday's gleeful commentary highlighted the lack of knowledge (or being deliberately misleading) about how the Scottish Parliament works, particularly the whole majority thing. Folk also placing Yousaf on a par with Sunak πŸ™„ There didn't seem to be much fuss about the UK govt pushing their DRS scheme back to 2027 because it's a bit hard to sort out. Funny how that makes us incompetent when it's up here! Reports were just like passing observations about the govt being lobbied against glass inclusion and Wales wanting to keep it in the scheme. No big drama like there was before. I had a wee peek on Pie & Bovril when I couldn't get on here last night. Some interesting and amusing observations...Someone reckoned that Yousaf was just being procedural going by his letter and the assumption that the Greens were going to vote against continuing the agreement anyway. Then they've reacted in the heat of the moment... "Holding a press conference immediately after you've been punted was a terrible idea; much like sending a colleague an email when you're raging, doing the weekly shop when you're hungry or immediately replying to a text from a girl. You just don't do it. Very amateur from the greens." πŸ˜‚
