kumnio
Haven't seen him tonight, can only mean one thing IMO. Will be sad to see him step down, he almost got us there, but not quite.
Auld_Reekie
Journalists already goading him on Twitter. The photo of him in car on way to airport earlier is only moment of night where Ive felt genuine sadness instead of anger. And I say that as someone who isnt that keen on him. Auld_Reekie
Statement from salmond in an hour. Part of me wants to see him come out fighting. The timetable committed to by No has no chance of succeeding and there is a chance he/SNP could capitalise on it before of 2015/2016 elections. If some good has to come of this, I'd like to see Labour buried.
tartandon
Without him, the referendum would never have been achieved. He is the only true leader and statesman in the Edinburgh parliament

Dave78
Won't be allowed to rise again. That's it. Naw. We'll have another referendum eventually. Might take 15 years though.
Goozay
Naw. We'll have another referendum eventually. Might take 15 years though. Depends what the next 15 years are like. 1979-1997 was dominated by Thatcher so there was cross-party support (apart from the Tories) for change come 97.
