Orraloon
Hope, belief and pride are for today. Smile and be confident. Confidence breeds confidence. Confident folk vote YES. Paranoid fearties vote NO.

thplinth
what is the logic of pencils and no pens?
Pool Q
A couple of delivery drivers in my work (context: both were in Edinburgh for the 'walk' last weekend) are going around telling anyone unfortunate enough to be within earshot to make sure that they use a pen to vote (it hasn't crossed their minds (sic) that anyone they know will be voting Yes) as 'it's well known thae nationalist c**ts at the polling stations will rub out No votes in pencil and change them'. They are serious. Also, as it happens, they are predicting 'big trouble' tomorrow, if there is a Yes vote, 'folk will get killed'. Brooky
what is the logic of pencils and no pens? Thinking the same, surely a pen means it can't be tampered with? I made sure to lean a bit heavier with the pencil and leave an indent.
Marky
Not being funny, but surely in this day and age if "the Man" wanted to rig the vote, there'd be a slightly more scientific way to do it than just rubbing oot somebody's cross and replacing it in the No box? Even just swiping big piles of yes ballot papers and replacing them with a big pile of pre-prepared No slips.
Brooky
This is the paranoia thread though so my fear counts as logical regardless of how unlikely!

Dalgety Bay TA
Thinking the same, surely a pen means it can't be tampered with? I made sure to lean a bit heavier with the pencil and leave an indent. I was sure I had read this morning that they were wax based pencils, not your normal lead type which can be rubbed out. Possibly.
