waysider
I'll miss the guess-the-wig family argument we had every time his face appeared on the telly. Old Terry had three wigs he would wear in rotation to give the illusion of naturally growing hair. Each of the three wigs (wee wig, middle wig and big wig) would get a two-week outing. Every other Monday night, Wogans hair would noticeably increase in size before finally going back to square one (wee wig) once the cycle was at its end. Great entertainment, best thing on the show ...apart from George Best

I think that might be an Urban myth There is no definitive proof whether he did wear one or not
Toepoke
All day mourning on Radio2, folk phoning up in tears. At least with Bowie they could pick from his vast legacy of records. I must've heard the Floral Dance about 4 times, as well as its B-side!
DoonTheSlope
I think that might be an Urban myth There is no definitive proof whether he did wear one or not Your not allowed wigs when getting knighted AFAIK but there's a picture of him holding his medal with a full head of "hair" Edited February 1, 2016 by DoonTheSlope
Orraloon
Your not allowed wigs when getting knighted AFAIK but there's a picture of him holding his medal with a full head of "hair" Is there a part of the ceremony when folk get "wig tested"? Widnae surprise me if there was.

neil r
Jimmy Young? The curse of 2016 strikes again. Absolute tragedy. 95 really is no age. Thoughts and prayers with his TAMB reading family.

KennyMiller
I went to watch Jim Davidson at the fringe a couple of years ago after his arrest and acquittal. Wogan was still alive. Its fair to say that Jim had some interesting views and opinions of Mr Wogan. Jim was fantastic and had lots of time before the gig for me and my girlfriend. Offered us a drink. Classy. Classy. To be fair, there's nothing particularly classy about offering to buy someone a drink. Politely turning down a drink from Jim Davidson might be the classier move...
