adamntg
24 teams is far too many. Makes a mockery of the group stages. Should go back to 16, or if they want to be really radical 20, with four groups of five. That would sort them out.

weekevie04
From the home nations - think England will do well, Wales will disappoint, Northern Ireland happy to score a goal, and Ireland may surprise a few with their excellent defensive record. Toepoke
24 teams is far too many. Makes a mockery of the group stages. Should go back to 16, or if they want to be really radical 20, with four groups of five. That would sort them out. 4 groups of 5 would actually make the group stage even longer than 6 groups of 4. 40 games as opposed to 36. There would be no last 16 round though. I agree the 16 team Euros was the best, having 4 third placed teams getting through devalues it further.

Fred_Zeppelin
4 British teams ! , did Scotland receive a late bye ? Hint , the Republic do not kowtow to a Queen . As a geographical concept he is correct, Ireland (The Island) is part of the British Isles, just like we would still be part of Great Britain if we'd won the Indyref. deiseblue
Geography me bollix ! Ye Brits owe allegiance to the Queen (as recently confirmed by your recent referendum !), we are a Republic.
