Brazil looked far from great but some of that was down to the performance of yere lads.....in truth ye deserved to win by more As for your man mackay on the sideline.....what a total bellend

God No man............Ye can do better than that - that guy is an utter disaster Forget about Michael O Neill - he ain't leaving Northern Ireland. There are plenty of good options out there , just a case of the SFA not rushing into a knee jerk appointment.

Carter is an absolute legend and I totally get what he meant. They are potentially the world's greatest team. Unreal...there isn't enough words to describe how good they are or they have been and no doubt will be again. If it was Scotland who put a temporary stop to their winning run ...then I hope ye wud enjoy the moment also as ye shud. Add in ...it was an emotional game...particularly with the passing of the Anthony foley a cpl of weeks back and the Irish lads forming a #8 while facing the haka in memory of foley and his ireland shirt number. Eerily....foley played for ireland for ireland against NZ 15 years ago. Ireland lost that game 40 - 29 ....that's the same scoreline we beat NZ by at the weekend....so it was an extra special victory considering what had happened a cpl of weeks back. They may well beat us. Can't see that margin happening as we are pretty well drilled but that's not saying they won't . As for our win....it was fantastic and we as a nation enjoyed it.... But its a credit to NZ and their fantastic rugby side that it meant so much to us beating such a brilliant side. Every NZ supporter and player and their manager have been amazingly gracious in defeat and we look forward to having them in dublin ...win lose or draw. My original post was sarcasm in response to biffers idiotic ill informed comment about us. Enjoy it we will in the moment....but we won't be going on about for months.

Mentioned hughton earlier on in the thread .......he is the man ye want. Wonderful manager and was a really good player. Won the uefa cup and fa cup and had a succesful international career (was in our euro 88 and wc 90 squads) .Seems to get the best out of his players and is highly respected ....also has international coaching experience already as he was the republics assistant manager bout 10 years ago.

Quite Ironic really ...especially considering the 1916 Proclamation by the rebellions leaders declaring us a Republic and how it ultimately lead us to becoming the "Republic of Ireland"...the same name FIFA have no bother allowing as a member of their organisation. Would highly recommend ye going after Chris Hughton . Has experience in international football not just as a player but more importantly in this case as an international assistant manager. He was brian kerr's #2 during kerrs tenure in charge of us btwn 2002 - 2005. Add in his record at club level management ...think he wud be perfect for Scotland

As for your view on yere game against my boys in celtic park.....I completely agree with it. An abysmal performance by us.....I left the stadium that night so annoyed with our manager and players. Only one team deserved 3 points that night....and it wasn't the one in white

I will gladly admit we just about deserved a win , hell maybe a draw was what we deserved in Tblisi.....but we didnt sit back looking for a draw....we had spells on top as did Georgia And OG's.....what are you talking about??? We scored twice in Tblisi ...both goals by Mcgeady ...one in the first half and one peach in the second...at the end of the game (there was nothing OG bout that one...just beauty...see below pal) And as for Georgia in Dublin....we didnt play great ...but we deserved to win...and no OG there either...Jon Walters scored the goal In fact...from all the goals we scored in that campaign...only one OG went in our favour and that was the 5th goal in the close game that was our 7-0 win against Gibraltar. Poland beat Georgia twice ....(0-4 in Tblisi and 4-0 in Poland).... where did you get they were very lucky to draw from?

Fair point .....can't argue with that Wud say Romania caused issues for their defence during their match....ROI did for the first half of their game

thought the complete opposite tbh - really poor first half in particular. As others have said - the main thing that will give germany hope is frances dodgy defence...they have conceded against Romania, Iceland , ROI and they looked suspect against the swiss ,so you would think Germany should find the net against them, however they Muller to find his form and with Gomez suspended that maybe easier said than done France do seem to be coming into something of form , although I would not be worried about the french crowd.....they tend not to overly supportive if things aint going their way. As George Said said ...so much class in midfield and attack....i think that will be enough to get france over the line

missing Khedira, Schwensteiger and Gomez as well Hummels was fantastic yday - huge loss Add in Ozil has been absolute muck and Muller has yet to hit form or score ......i would have to fancy france

but great against belgium , russia and decent against slovakia in the euros .........and got 4 pts out of 6 against belgium in qualifying and just lost one game out of 10(winning 6) in a pretty tough qualifying group....will you stop talking nonsense
