To be fair. I think they've only done a couple of things that have been anything near token gestures. Clapping in chamber = blown out of all proportion by the media. Selfies in chamber = blown out of all proportion by the media.Chip buttygate = who cares? Skinner's seat = wouldn't have been mentioned if it had been anyone else other than the SNP. Oath = perfectly legitimate to question this. Robertson's speech = funny, but with hindsight maybe a little mean-spirited (but certainly set out the SNP's stall). All in all they've done nothing to upset the establishment applecart yet, but the media will portray it that way.

Maybe each individual case is defensible - I don't claim to have followed every one. For example chip butties - seems to be not really a news story but maybe a diary story, fine. But it's how this is all perceived in the propaganda war shaped by a fairly hostile press.

Maybe this is all just the 'phoney war'. But aside from all that, there is a genuine question about how to behave, in relation to an institution that ultimately you don't wish to be part of. Do you help make it work better, and help British democracy evolve to a better system, or let it fester and try to lever yourself out of it in any way possible?

Useful. I am saying they have not yet engaged and I get some crap comment back.

Nothing crap about it, it s exactly what it is. Mhairi Black has lunch in the "wrong place" one day and you turn it into an issue.

Not engaged with what exactly? - nothing has started yet, what exactly do you expect them to do right now except have lunch in the "right place"

For the first time in my life I am hearing about my representatives day in parliament. They are communicating with me on a level I have never seen any other politicians do and things haven't even got started yet. My previous MP got elected and I never heard from him again until the next election. Now I am hearing from many of the 56 every day.

I think the insight they are giving to people about the crusty old outdated parliament we have is good. It is about time that sort of nonsense was challenged and then maybe we would get a parliament which actually connects with the people.

So smoke and mirrors it is - you don't like the SNP so you criticise when one of them has their lunch one day. The fact you actually know about it should tell you something

Oh and just as a matter of interest 3 of our new local MP's have already pressed for a meeting with the Energy Minister about the oil industry - I am sure this is not the only example of what they have started to do.

They have also stated to push for the City Deal funding to be released for Abedeen

Salmond has also started pushing for Britain to take its fair share of refugees from North Africa.

And these are just a few examples from my local MP's

Our newly-elected MP is coming to our SNP Branch meeting in a few weeks to give us a talk on "My first month as an MP and the internecine procedures that hold Westminster back". His choice of topic.

I appreciate his taking the time to come to talk to us. I hadn't seen nor heard from our previous MP in 5 years.

I don't want my new MP turning into an invisible leech like the last one.

I'm more than happy for he and his colleagues to ignore all of the stupid old boys club "traditions" and just work for the country. The current political elite need a good kick up the arse so that maybe, just maybe they'll remember why they are there.

Trying too hard. Ease off a little and you'll get more bites :ok:

I'm not trying. I'm actually disgusted at the way they've been behaving and treating men like Dennis Skinner (who I profoundly disagree with) who has been in the house for over 45 years.

It's the typical attitude of moral superiority that leads to this disgracefulness. Scotland is being led down the path of ruin by the SNP and their supporters.

I'd suggest everything having a word with themselves and leave the troll alone.

There are two or three contrarians polluting the board at the moment and are doing spectacularly well.

"Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share it".

But yes, Mr. mens is trying too hard.

Aye, that all very well, but I find Scunnered and Mario to be quite entertaining at times.

I'd be absolutely astonished... And heartbroken, if I were who Flure were referring too.

Also, congratulations to Miss Black for not giving in to the Gellers of the world! I hope she continues with her diary, I for one am particularly looking forward to the one we're the SNP whip tells her to abstain on the Fox hunting vote!

What's so funny about the way the SNP MPs have been treating people? It's not funny. It's disgraceful.

its not anything they have done its your reaction. jees this is the house of commons - the most outdated, sterile, frustrating environment full of far too many pompous, stuck up and completely detached from reality individuals. If the SNP shake that up a bit then good on them.

what have they done anyway? have i missed something?

"Shake that up" by behaving like brownshirts and forcing 83 year old men from their seat? Even though I disagree with Dennis Skinner on whether socialism is a good idea or not, he's represented his constituency for over 45 years and always seemed like a very principled man. There was no reason to treat him like that and that wasn't even the only thuggish thing they did.

The SNP are scum. Plain and simple.
