Lewis Macleod on the bench for Brentford tonight in the play off semi. Didn't know David Weir was their assistant manager. One all at the moment....

Think that's the first time isn't it? I know he's been injured but was fearing Lewis was in the same category of mythical creatures as Saskwatch and Nessie

Sunderland team news, Steven Fletcher is fit after missing two games with an ankle complaint,

His ankle hasn't been right since that Wales game.

The manager and chairman have different views on the clubs direction apparently. With a new stadium on the way season after next they are still a club with aspirations. Who ever takes over will have a very good foundation to work on.

It's good to see Macleod back so quickly. The papers were saying a couple of weeks ago that he was out until the start of next season. What a lot of pish they do print these days !

Apparently shortly after he had signed for Brentford and recovered from the injury he had got at Rangers, he tumbled over an object on his first real day of training and that's why he was out injured for the last couple of months.

Weird things like this only seem to happen to young Scots players for some reason ! John McGinn getting accidently stabbed in the leg by Steven Thompson for example.

Watched the Stoke game in the pub. Adam was very good. He's been playing in the free role behind the striker that he had at Blackpool. He hasn't had the chance to play there much since he left Blackpool.

For qatar.think we should start with Adam in the naismith roll. Give him half game. Then if nsismith isn't doing his usual in Dublin we've got another option (assuming Adam impresses again Qatar )

but naismith actually runs around a lot in the naismith role. Adam is too unfit and slow for international football.
