Jersey Jim
GTR Unfortunately for me my flight back to Jersey is early Sunday Morning, so I will be looking to leave my hotel [The Riverhouse] about 5.30 AM. How long is the Taxi journey up to the airport at that quiet time of the morning? I presume it will be easy enough to organise the hotel to book one for me. Uncle Albert
Lads what like are Staycity Serviced Apartments – Millennium Walk, Dublin and are they near any decent pubs, how far a walk from The Aviva as well??? Cheers in advance.
Stella Artois 1366
Aviva is an easy 30 minute stroll from St Stephen's Green. The Dublin tram, LUAS, stops outside the stadium so if u can get onto it u might manage an extra pint.

Ormond
Does the Monorail stop at the Aviva? You're quicker on the underground. We used it the last time. If you get off at the Lansdowne Road stop your match ticket just lets you walk off of the tube up the stairs and directly into your seat. Dave78
Actually, forget the Luas, DART, Monorail or Tube. If you really want to get from town to Ballsbridge in style, you need to hire one of these from the local Travelling Gentlemen.....

Stella Artois 1366
Long shot here but any help would be appreciated - I'm hoping someone recognises a pub description. I was in Dublin a few years ago and found a great place for live music but don't know the name of it or what street it was on. I'd just been at St Patrick's and Christ Church Cathedral so think it was in that general area. Long thin pub - if u were outside on the street you would describe it as having a stage at the right hand side, tables with reserved signs on them in front of the stage, a step up to raised level in the centre and the bar at the left which has open seating around the bar area. The decor made this look like a nice place which probably charged a Euro more for a pint compared to a wee comfy grotto. Donegal-lad
Apologies if this has been asked but whats the best sort of nightclubs to go in Dublin and what would the bouncers be like with kilts Get yourself to harcourt street and will have your pick of nightclubs, diceys and D2s are on that street as well as the infamous copper faced jacks. Should have no issue getting in with kilts either
Deek
Thinking about booking Dublin City University. Looks about half way between airport and city centre. Any idea how much a taxi would cost back at night ? Would it be okay to stay here or too far away ? Late in booking flights and any decent/cheap digs are now all gone. Cheers. No problems had with kilts on. J

Dublin isn't Glasgow.
