Just to add, the meeting I attended the other night. Gordon McIntyre Kemp sent a couple if questions to all 3 main independence parties on how they would take independence forward to help galvanise the YES campaign . Only party who didnt reply was Alba. Would like to know their reasons. Realise this is more Indyref thread but just adding it due to AS news.

Let's hope he succeeds. He was framed by a number of individuals and the hierarchy as it was. 100% needs to get legal redress.

I have absolutely no problem with him taking action , it’s the timing. Bit more than a coincidence its a few months before an election. The normal guy in the street wont care who is responsible it will just be a total SNP onslaught and he knows it.

Given how long the legal stuff drags on for it'll always be near an election whether intended or not.

The far right in Scotland must be very confused at the moment. Imagine finding out their masters in London wany to ship those bloody foreigners to Scotland 😆

In my experience, they just ignore that fact and blame the SNP anyway. Like with most things in life really! 😄

completely agree.  These were very serious allegations against Alex.

The SNP are amateur and need leadership of stature from someone like him.

So, the people who have been in power for 13 years and who have spent those 13 years banging on about immigration, have - POST BREXIT - overseen the highest ever influx of LEGAL immigration ever.

And the same people - who were/are in the UK Government - continue to complain about immigration - One of witch 😁 was HOME SECRETARY as recently as last week and appeared on the front of a national newspaper yesterday bemoaning the UKG performance even though it was her job just a week ago.

What on Earth is wrong with these people?

James O'Brien gets stuck in 😁

The last 13 years have been the craziest in politics during my lifetime. A bunch of spoiled little rich cunts have plundered the tax payers money but handing contracts to their pals and lobbyist friends.

We've seen a shift in mindset in England where the actions of far right metalists is being considered as normal behaviour. Not surprising really when a former prime minister comes out with racist comments and no action is taken.

I've said it before but England is in need of a real labour Government and scotland needs independence and fast before there's nothing left in it.

There was an attack at a school with some kids seriously injured, apparently perpetrated by an Algerian immigrant.  The protestors to this attack seized the opportunity to stock up on Air Max and trackie tops by looting the local footlocker and setting busses on fire.

And the attacker was stopped by an immigrant from Brazil. Those bloody immigrants are now stealing the jobs of real white heroes 😆

You’re absolutely right. Now being reported that the attacker wasn’t an immigrant……. it’s unacceptable that they are not stepping up to the plate as the cause and perpetrators of all problems…….. ‘kin slackers!

Where did you see that?

From bbc ………

The "extraordinary outbreak of violence" had come after "hateful assumptions" were made based on material circulating online in the wake of the stabbings, Garda Commissioner Drew Harris said.

It is understood that included false claims that the attacker was a foreign national.

I read a good thread on twitter/X last night. Someone took the time to post a timeline of events against the "hateful assumptions" in the wake of the stabbings.

Its worrying to think people are so easily duped.

she realised she was fighting a losing battle.  It is a real conundrum, how do we stop illegal immigration and small boats yet do it humanely?  Controlled immigration = good, illegal immigration = bad.

How do you do it humanely and legally? You open a processing centre or two in continental Europe. Open up more safe and legal routes for more nationalities At the moment there are only three or four. Ukraine is one. Afghanistan is another. There are one or two more.

Small boats? So the 45'000 in small boats is a problem, but the 1'000'000+ legall immigrants is okay?

Try explaining that to anybody who wanted immigration reduced.

They didn't want white, Christian, Europeans coming over and now they've got tens of thousands of Indians and Nigerians coming.

Answer this...

For 13 years, the Conservatives have been banging on about how immigration must be reduced...

For 13 years, the Conservatives have been in power and have had the power to reduce LEGAL immigration...

Then (post BREXIT too) the Conservatives have overseen the biggest increase in LEGAL immigration the UK has ever known. More than 1 million in the past year.

The same party.

The same people.

Explain that.

And the same people CONTINUE to bitch about immigration, despite the fact they oversaw the increase.

Explain that too.

13 years of decline. And they still blame everyone else.

I don’t care where people come from as long as they either can clearly demonstrate that they bring skills that we need,or are genuinely fleeing conflict.  In the latter case we should be taking our share along with other European countries, but only our share.

clearly the tories haven’t managed to control immigration hence why there are so many upset within their own party.

Boris Johnson and and Tommy Robinson turning up at a march against anti semitism has fried my brain 😆

yeah, and no matter your views on Tommy, the reported London Met Police treatment of him yesterday is quite shocking.  Man pepper sprayed and lifted simply for standing doing nothing just cos the met don’t like him being there.

We really are in dangerous territory now - the public don’t believe that Sadiq Khan’s met police are being even handed in applying the law.  I can see from twitter comments that this is giving rise to comments like “we are in a battle for Britain now”.  We are seeing support for British nationalism rise significantly.
