Advice Needed On Transfers

That is about the going rate.

As I am getting the train in and flying out on a morning flight the morning after the match, rather than use public transport I booked a transfer with "Prague Trips & Tickets" through "getyourguide" which was £18 (so roughly the same price give or take a couple of quid) but as I had a discount code for "getyourguide" I was able to get £5 off the price (sign up for their email newsletter and wait a week or two as they do have a habit of sending out discount codes every now and again)

Been emailed by my apartment offering a transfer when I arrive for 600 koruna or 24 euro. Is that a good deal considering I don't arrive into Prague til the back of 10 at night?

Hoppa £7-49 one way for shuttle from airport to central prague

Depends where your accommodation is situated. If it's near a tram or metro stop then public transport is easy, and will take same time as private transfer

At the moment it's only coins, but have seen machines in other parts of Czech where you can use contactless payment. Guess it's just a matter of time.

There is also a kiosk selling tickets in both airport terminals (which closes around 10 pm)

Getting off at Mustek metro station will take you to the bottom or middle of Wenceslas Sq, depending on which exit you take.

For the top of Wenceslas Sq take the Muzeum metro station.

If the ticket kiosk is closed when you land, you'll need coins for the ticket machine, or you can buy a ticket from the driver if you have a 100 or 200 kc note.

Interesting viewing.

It's shocking how some drivers exploit tourists.

Think the maximum charge is 28 kc per km within city limits.

For 4 of us we have been quoted 30 euros each way but that is through hotel which is 2 minutes from Old Town Square. We are the same we don't arrive until after 10pm and can't be bothered with public transport at that time of night and we are on the 06.25 am flight back on the Sunday morning so it was easier just to book this through hotel

Hotel taxi. Got the 2 kids with us so it just makes it easier as we don't get in until after 10 at night and we will need to leave at a stupid o'clock Sunday morning. The driver lives at the hotel so there won't be any problems with him being there on time. We done that the last time we stayed at that hotel with no issues. Hotel just 2 streets back from Old Town Square so no need for buses or trams in the centre as most things are walkable. Probably is a bit dearer but save elsewhere. Apartment works out at £16.50 each per night with brekkie so not too bad :)

I really should look at things properly before jumping in. Been on enough trips to know better!! If we didn't have the kids with us we probably would have just used the bus into the centre but can't be bothered with that at that time of night with the 2 of them. Bear this in mind if we ever go back there. Thanks for all your tips guys
