DoonTheSlope
the english fans and londoners in general couldnt have been nicer to me even the old hoolies in the boozer before the game were very pleasant Agreed. Never seen an ounce of trouble and they were all sound down at Wembley Never seen an England fan in Glasgow till I was in the stadium Edited January 23, 2016 by DoonTheSlope
scottincarlisle
4000 settle down! England will give us at least 9000 tickets and I reckon between 15 - 20,000 Scotland fans will make the trip south! If the SFA play hard ball like they did with Poland, 5% is what we'll get. Cant see 20000 travelling.
Jagtag
If the SFA play hard ball like they did with Poland, 5% is what we'll get. Cant see 20000 travelling. Agree. We will only give England 5000 tops and don't expect them to give us much more.
ByronLoon1986
Agree. We will only give England 5000 tops and don't expect them to give us much more. It will be the same as the 99 playoff! We'll give them 5000 and they'll gie us 9000 (maybe more)
Alan
Scotland's police force will want the minimum amount of england fans in galsgow, MET may have similar idea. The Met could police the game with their eyes closed.
aaid
The Met could police the game with their eyes closed. That's true. I think that one Sunday last year in London there were sell-out games at the Olympic Park (Rugby World Cup), Wembley (NFL) and the Emirates. It's only the former Strathclyde police force that are seemingly unable to multitask when big football games are on.
Alan
Usually 6 home games every Saturday with hundreds of thousands of home fans criss crossing the City and tens of thousands away fans arriving via bus, car and train then again criss crossing city. Squirrelhumper
The game will be a sell out. I would imagine England will limit us to about 4,000 tickets. If they do I hope we give them 2000.
Squirrelhumper
Agree, the england "fans" that came up for the freindly were a different bread than the home fans when we went down there. More neds and up for a bit of aggro. I thought our home support were also up for a scrap. Lots of jeans and casual tops ( burberry ) in both supports. Imagine wearing jeans to the football. We're not all wanting to look like we have fallen off a shortbread tin.
Orraloon
The Met could police the game with their eyes closed. And their pockets open. Just like any other day of the week.
Orraloon
Imagine wearing jeans to the football. Aye, wearing jeans to the football, that's a sure sign of somebody looking for trouble, right enough. And, if both sets of fans were wearing the same gear, how did they know who they were supposed to be fighting with?
deecie
Imagine wearing jeans to the football. We're not all wanting to look like we have fallen off a shortbread tin. You get some quality abuse for wearing jeans to a Scotland game.

Stewart_Aberdeen
I know, the cheek of wearing jeans to the football eh! I wore shorts & t-shirt to the Aberdeen game in Groningen. Could get used to that!
Squirrelhumper
I wore shorts & t-shirt to the Aberdeen game in Groningen. Could get used to that! I've worn shorts and t-short to many a Scotland away game. Wembley, Alicante, Skopje, Prague, Dortmund to name but a few. Always funny seeing big fat guys chafe with their kilts on as you stoll by in sensible attire.

Dunty
It will be the same as the 99 playoff! We'll give them 5000 and they'll gie us 9000 (maybe more) The play-offs they got 6,500 up here and we got 7,500 at Wembley. Of course, we had a much smaller SSC membership then. I may be wrong but I think everyone who applied for a ticket got one. It was also a different stadium of course.
