vanderark14
I don't think he should have been off, the only player who should have been sent off is the hearts player who got subbed.
Toepoke
2nd caution m8. Unsporting Behaviour. Think the wording is something along the lines of 'deliberately handles the ball to prevent an opponent attacking' Has obviously tried to apply common sense But Rooney missed The pen? Fair doos didn't realise he'd been booked already.

Deserved win for Aberdeen, quite enjoyed it I must say, albeit a bit stop-start It wasn't a booking or a red card for the reasons I've already stated. Rossy
John Robertson...'Hearts deserved a draw' . Is he back on the vodka again ? Fuuu cking anti-football, kicking, fouling, pushing, hammer throwing shite. Hearts are utter dross. Craig Levein would have been proud. Toepoke
It wasn't a booking or a red card for the reasons I've already stated. True enough, it's not an automatic yellow either just a free-kick or penalty...
Angus_Young
It wasn't a booking or a red card for the reasons I've already stated. All about interpretation. And you have stated it's to prevent an opponent gaining possession. It's 'gaining possession or developing an attack'. Punching the ball in the box could be reasonably deemed to be 'developing an attack' and should have been a caution IMO. Edit - wrang wording Edited December 12, 2015 by Angus_Young
scoobydoo
Never was. I'm gutted I keep having to come back here to explain simple rules about offside and handball. It's only a booking if it denies an opposition player possession, red if it denies a clear goal scoring opportunity. There was no Aberdeen player near the ball so neither happened, correct decision. Hearts manager is going to boot his baws though. That's the old firm rules. Non old firm teams get red for it.

Rossy
True enough, it's not an automatic yellow either just a free-kick or penalty... Well, deliberate handball is a yellow card no matter where it happens. Had he been booked already ? There were so many from Hearts I lost count. Angus_Young
True enough, it's not an automatic yellow either just a free-kick or penalty... Everyone will see it differently, including refs.....which is why handball decisions will always throw up debate.

scoobydoo
ken what i noticed. Both John robertson and the aberdeen ex player, don't know his name, talked about 'us' and 'we'. Is there no impartiality anymore?

There were so many from Hearts I lost count. That's not correct mate. As EK has said above the handball needs to prevent the other team gaining possession or developing an attack.
