Lion Rampant
Seems to be some suggestions of this! Grant Russell β@STVGrant 1m Reports in Gibraltar that match w/ Scotland next Oct might move from Faro to London. Understand it's unlikely for now, but one to watch. deecie
I support this decision. Provided it's not played at Wembley, the Emirates or the cottage?

hannibal smith
cant see it happening, was at 3 games there for Euro 2004 with 30k crowds and it was fine sounds like they need to be changing security companies though
scottincarlisle
Would we be entitled to compensation like when they moved the dates of the Carling Cup matches ?

kmcca5
This would (Selfishly) suit me down to the ground, would rather they play in Southampton or Brighton, both near to Airports and both in places worth going to for a fair p!ss up. What grounds in London could they hope to fill? I canβt see them using Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal etc because of the cost implications but here are some optionsβ¦β¦ Loftus Road, Capacity: 18,360 (Quite fancy a trip here before they pull it down, The stands are tight to the pitch, lots of noise can be created and Shepherds Bush has some nice boozers, easy to get to and from, good tube links etc) Craven Cottage, Capacity: 25,678 (Enjoyed visiting here but would rather go somewhere new) Selhurst Park, Capacity: 26,309 (Been before and the ground is old and a bit dilapidated, remember seeing some dodgy looking boozers on the walk there) Boleyn Ground, Capacity: 35,333 (Would love to go to the ground as only been outside it but the area is rough as feck from what I could see) The Den, Capacity: 20,146 (Nice wee ground, not much room inside them though. The pubs in the area are best avoided unless youβre a Millwall fan, been in a few with some Millwall mates prior to match and they filmed Sean of the dead round there for a reason) The Valley, Capacity: 27,111 The Ground looks OK but the area looks like a sh!t hole from my one visit. My personal favorites areβ¦ Griffin Park, Capacity: 12,763 how can you not want to see a game at a ground where there is a pub on each corner of the ground!!! Or Brisbane Road, Capacity: 9,271 because it has an amazing supporters bar and a cracking pub with itβs own brewery just up the road, their own ale Β£2.50 a pint! Both might be a bit on the small side though as I think we could take 20k + if we are in with a shout of qualifying and it is a Sunday so only one days holiday required..... Ooooooh the prospect of this game in London is getting me a bit over excited, may have to go for a lie down.
Gala Tartan Army (Borders)
Pissed off getting mucked about by football associations, airlines and t.v. companies . We have already booked flights and hotels . If the Gibralter F. A. can't stage the game within the vicinity their rock then why let them enter the tournament in the first place . Should have been told to hang off until they had a ground .

It sounds like they had issues with the ground, security, taxes etc they couldn't have forseen these issues.
Gala Tartan Army (Borders)
Anyone got email address for Gibralter FA . Think if some of us who have already booked contact them then it might put a bit of pressure on to fulfil the fixture in Faro.

Duncan Blackheart
I'm not sure about this - isn't it against FIFA rules in that there's a radius of how far you can move an international qualifier (as opposed to friendly)? I was also thinking of the golf option.
Gala Tartan Army (Borders)
Many thanks Scott . Will give it a go and urge the hundreds of others who have booked to contact the Gibralter FA . Otherwise will have to organise a big screen in the centre of Faro . EddardStark
London or Faro makes no difference to me although a kick in the teeth for fans who have already booked but the game is over a year away.
Debian
If it's in London, then so be it. if you're daft enough to book a year in advance in hope then its hard luck.
Wigtownshire-Matt
If it's in London, then so be it. if you're daft enough to book a year in advance in hope then its hard luck. Bit harsh. Know plenty who book holidays a year in advance. For some it's the only way they can do it. Wouldn't say it was in hope either, Gibraltar said they planned to play all thier gsmes out of Faro. As much as it's always decent, could do without another trip to London.
deecie
It's hardly daft to book a year in advance when they declared the venue already. Although, selfishly, I'd rather it got moved to London, or potentially- Aberdeen.
wanderer
TBH I would imagine it will not be just us who have got the package holidays to the Algarve booked, would guess that a fair share of the Irish and Germans have holidays booked to take in a sun and sea break there also. Given they were happy to tell everyone that Faro was going to be there "home" for the next couple of years until their own stadium was built, probably find it will not be just us who are unhappy. I am not really expecting the game to be moved, just they are considering it and that is probably/hopefully as far as it goes.
