teecee-
How could you retire on £73.46? Easy, just cut back on buying other people drink on tour.
Charlie Endell
Easy, just cut back on buying other people drink on tour. I got one bottle of Corona from the 48-pack you bought - I don't even like Corona, but at the time it was appreciated.

Fugitive
I've got a standing order of £100/month into a TA account. This pays for tickets, hotels and flights normally. Drink is extra. Done this for a few years so it fairly mounts up !
Marky
This thread prompted me to review my record. Between 1998-2010 I attended 33 away games including an 8 year stint from San Marino 2000 - Prague 2010 during which I only missed one competitive away game (Faroes 2007 - nae holidays left). Chucked it in a massive huff after the Prague debacle in 2010. Won - 9 Lost - 18 Drew - 6 GF - 25 GA - 56 Was set to come out of retirement for the Ireland game, but my flight to Dublin got cancelled. Can't believe it's now 5 years since I went to a Scotland game. In terms of cash it must be thousands upon thousands as we didn't tend to do it on the cheap. Most expensive trip would have been the friendly in Japan under Burley, but in terms of normal qualifiers I'd go along with Kumnio and say the Macedonia/Iceland double header. Like others have said, home games are also away games and during that period I probably averaged 2 or 3 a campaign. I could only guess at around £50k overall.
