AlfieMoon
The day that SNP take Glasgow City Council from Labour will be a remarkable moment for the city. Then it'll be up to the SNP to step up and see what they can do for the city.
aaid
Labour had a lot of big guns - well what passes for big guns in Labour these days - campaigning on the streets as well.

aaid
No mention on State Broadcaster (Scottish Region) news. To be fair, SNP landslides aren't exactly news these days.
Jie Bie
Were any of those wards SNP gains from Labour? Or were all those by-elections as a result of SNP councillors winning seats in May's election?

Auld_Reekie
The day is coming where the SNP need to start delivering on this incredible support. IMO, they've stalled last couple of years and I'm happy to give Sturgeon til next year's elections to rework the policies behind the scenes, but I need to see the SNP doing something radical in Scotland rather than just managing the country. The day might come when the public support leaves the party and there's not a great deal to show for it thus far other than nearly winning independence. That's all great but they need to do better at their day job from next year.

Auld_Reekie
Yep. Which is why I'll be voting Green on the list. SNP minority propped up by Greens my preferred result. Want to see Greens tested too.

Scunnered
Would rather have a Green Government than SNP. Wouldn't we all! Apart from Charlie... But his dreams of a Ruth led parliament aren't realistic until independence.
scotlad
Hope the the greens have no influnce on the next scottish parliment, they couldnt run a bath, just because they supported independence does not merrit a vote IMO Outwith independence, they also have other good policies. Given they haven't had a real shot at government before, it is a bit unfair to say they couldn't run a bath. I am quite sure they could run a bath, in an ethical, eco-friendly way.
