Coldo
I would take a punt on it being a family business. Edited April 16, 2015 by Coldo
Louch
Or he's just a yodel driver or the like, as they are self employed
Fairbairn
IV done the disappearing act on a night out, And not heard from my mates for days after it. Does seem bizarre his story, surprised he went forward to speak to police at all. From the radio clyde Facebook there's lots of stories of women getting harassed by sober guys sitting outside clubs sober trying to pick up drunken women. Not something I could ever imagine even thinking of doing. They had CCTV of him talking to her outside the club and then leaving with her. He's probably thought it better to concoct a story and go to the police with it rather than wait for the inevitable knock on the door. (If we are to believe he is guilty). That's the thing about him being named, the expression is supposed to be "innocent until proven guilty" but nowadays it seems to be "guilty until proven innocent". Flora MaDonald
It's also a disgrace that it was punted all over the media that Karen was 'intimate' with him. Rightly or wrongly, that gives an impression of a person to the public.

Big Col
was the statement not actually "he believes he was intimate with her, apparently consensual" ? you could argue that's the police already doubting his version of events
johnnie x
In cases like this the police choose their words very carefully and for a reason.
aaid
I guess it will all come out when and if this comes to court, but it does look like the police wanted to make him think he was in the clear to give him an opportunity to incriminate himself. Yeah that's what I said to my mum when she relayed the details of the case to me.
