Tartan Eagle
Went to the rugby yesterday got there an hour early. there were already thousands of people there in the grounds drinking watching the wales game was then able to drink during our game, and thousands of people stayed on watching the england game after this is what we should be able to have too Murrayfield's good for that - you can have a beer outside in the sunshine too on a decent day. How were the trams?
Bino's
Murrayfield's good for that - you can have a beer outside in the sunshine too on a decent day. How were the trams? aye, we drove and parked chesser way, 20 mins walk to ground, so away in car within same time after Scotland were gash as prb saw but the murrayfield set up is a lot better than ours

Morons in the media however come out with nonsense about "not going without a drink for 90 mins". you could have fans zones in the street next to the stands, car park, lesser hampden, folk would go if it wasn't pushing down even then, could have beer tents
jimstroma
The $FA really are missing a trick here. They could easily lay on a fanzone near Hampden for fans to enjoy the match day experience. It would also encourage fans to get near the ground early.

TheReid
I've been feeling this for a while, we have a sub standard firework display - compare that to what the rugby have.. It's a joke.
scottincarlisle
I mean a proper drink friendly fan zone. Can't ever see that happening at a home game. Just look at how good outside Dortmund was.

Return of Yermaw
This is what actual fans are proposing. Morons in the media however come out with nonsense about "not going without a drink for 90 mins". I know - they turn out the same tired ridiculous argument. You want alcohol with your meal - what, you can't go 90 mins without a drink? And that independent cinema lets you take in wine? Can't you watch a movie for 90 mins without needing a drink? What do you mean a number of factors can contribute to a more enjoyable experience?

scottincarlisle
Would that not fall under Glasgow City Council say so and not SFA? Surely its up to the SFA to ask the council in the first place if they can put a beer tent up.
Bristolhibby
Surely its up to the SFA to ask the council in the first place if they can put a beer tent up. One beer tent would not work, it would have to be many tents in a "zone" where, if you want you can stand outside, drink your pint and eat a gourmet hot dog. Not difficult. Cove_Sheep
Folk moan about being treated like customers, but constantly harp on about pish like 'matchday experience'. That sounds like you WANT to be a customer rather than a supporter.
John_B81
There are plenty of ways to enhance the matchday experience but alcohol at the ground is not one of them. Football fans have difficulty handling their drink at the best of times, Scotland fans among the worst of them, without encouraging more drinking. Non starter for me.
