Bristolhibby
Why would Bob being bitten make a difference? It's already been established that they can't 'catch' this disease. They're all carrying it already. Or maybe I thought too far ahead... If you get bitten you still "turn". The survivors are impervious to the airborn source of the zombie outbreak. Loads of survivors have turned Merrell, Lori, Shane, etc. J

thewelk
Everyone turns when they die as long as the head is intact. The bite just seems to accelerate death. It's clearly not linked to ingesting infected blood otherwise all of them would have been dead a few seasons ago. There's a weakness in the whole contagion story here...but I guess it's not meant to be realistic...

(That and dying with your head intact). So I think this does fit in, survivors can't catch it indirectly (airborne or through blood splashes) but will turn if bitten directly into the bloodstream. Guest flumax
Anyone read the books? J Graphic novel, aye. Up to Compendium 2. Series deviates a bit, but doesn't matter still excellent.
Stapes
The preachers secret is interesting. Did he lock his flock outside the church? Surely if that was the case they'd have just burned the church down, especially given the writing on the church wall. The whole concept of not catching the virus if ingested bothers me. Take the scene from 30 Days Later when it goes in his eye and he turns. Surely if it goes into your eye it has the same effect as a bite. Yet they're slashing eveything that moves. Think it has to do with making the killing scenes gorier andmore enjoyable.

Davied14
I've had Compendium 2 for almost 2 years but haven't read it yet, decided I wanted to remind myself of the first before reading it but gave up. My thoughts are that the minister locked himself in the church as well, given that people were scrambling to get in. I don't think they would have burnt the place down because they would have been clinging to the hope of getting in.

Two different "universes" with different canon.I guess you can't get Ebola through the air but can get the flu. HIV has to be blood or bodily fluids. I can see your point though, would be a bit rubbish if they were all walking around wearing HAZMAT suits. nelbo009
The graphic novels seem to give a fair bit of a clue as to the direction this season is going. The preacher's back story is covered in them; and the Hunters are in there too. There's also rumours of who is in the car that took Beth, which if true will be bloody fantastic. I'm not going to post the spoilers here though, don't want to ruin it for anyone.
Debian
Was he not taken down by walkers just after they let him out ? Re my last post - surely they would have noticed if Bob had been bitten ...unless it was his other leg ...too many questions I don't think so. He ranted at Rick, and then wasn't really seen again. Maybe I read too much in to the scene at the end, but could be a link. Similar to the blond guy who got his throat cut over the trough. In series one Rick dorns a pair of goggles so as not to get any blood spatter in his eye at one point so yes it would turn you if it happened and so yes they have just skipped over that technicality Everyone is infected and when they die you turn If bitten and it gets into you blood stream then you get blood poisoning & die & then turn - same as with eating infected meat. No spoilers so dont read the bottom from the book there is a character that has been bitten and then eaten by the hunters - they die and turn The preacher is a coward and locked everyone out his church - that is his only crime So we are right Dont want to know about the black car & who drives it

Novaspur
There have been different directors who see the zombies as different types. In the first season zombies were running and climbing, we've even seen one try to turn a doorknob. I prefer them how the current season see's them; slow, lifeless but dangerous in hordes. In season 1 they said there was no cure (at the CDC) but the gang accept someone who says he knows how to fix the disease with no questions asked. Looking forward to how this season pans out. Hunt or be hunted. Zombies are not the main threat anymore.
