"I think if I had both of them on the table, I would probably choose Australia. I grew up in Australia but it would be hard. "If Scotland came and Australia didn't come then I would love to play for Scotland as well. My parents are Scottish and I think I could do a job for them as well. Case closed. Plenty of folk on here have rated Hornby for a long time. I concur. A search would confirm this. Lots of people have been complimenting the lad for a while. I remember in June saying that he's better than McBurnie. He is. He's the closest thing to Duncan Ferguson I've seen, plus he has deceptive pace. He should be called up asap, along with Gilmour. No idea what Clarke is waiting for.

Also, I see absolutely nothing wrong with a player feeling allegiance to two different countries, especially in the modern world.
WeLuvIrnBru
I am. A Queen of rhw South supporter, and whilst he has some qualities, he should be nowhere near our squad. To those that say that players can improve, fair enough, but in half a dozen games for Livi he is suddenly Scotland material? Behave! At times he was not even an above average Championship player last season... No thank you! Sunday's goal aside... His finishing is usually woeful, trust me on that one. I wish him all the best, but I was not that bothered whether he stayed at Queens or not... .. That says it all really. Besides, I am pretty sure he said last year that he felt Australian and if he every got good enough to play international football (which I highly doubt) he would pick the Aussies over us. Forget about him as a potential Scotland cap.... It is not going to happen. Edited October 8, 2019 by WeLuvIrnBru

He actually said he was Australian but his parents were Scottish in the interview I saw. He also said Australia was his first choice. I have nothing against the guy but he's an average player who wants to play for Australia.
JandC
I’m just glad that Steve Clarke took my advice on Dykes! He was excellent last night and just shows that we shouldn’t write any player off

You were 100% correct and I applaud you. weekevie04
Love the lad. Love his for want of a better word 'cheeky' (Hi Berti!) nature and his confidence. He is a terrific player. His hold up play is magnificent, he's so good and winning headers, flick on's and he's basically a 100% better version of what McBurnie is meant to offer us. Delighted he choose his parents homeland. Me, too. He's what Duncan Ferguson could've been for us. Have you ever seen Aussie rules football? He grew up playing that sport, and you can tell. Very brutal (and honest) sport.
