Rossy
We have to realise that there is a movement out there to try and kill any form of Scottish nationalism...whether full independence or even increased powers....stone dead. Many No voters resent the fact that a No vote has done nothing to quell the independence movement. There's a fight to be had here.
sub50
Is this the action of a YES sympathiser in Follow Follow? Let them join in their droves!!

fringo
This. There are unionists who wish we would just disappear. They have been banging the union drum a long time. We almost upset their world and will do whatever they can to try and stamp us down. Yes will receive a lot of grief and abuse from some hard liners. Tory guy (Ian Duncan?) on BBC2 Scotland 2014 just said something to the affect that "now that the Scottish question is resolved". Don't think it is sir. thplinth
I think the Rangers supporter vote was well and truly underestimated. Not a criticism just an observation. Yet Glasgow as a city voted Yes, so what does that tell us about the Celtic supporter vote.

Hessen
I can't see people flocking to give these London parties their money. If there were independent Scottish parties of the same ilk that might be a different matter.

Alibi
I was at my local SNP branch meeting last night. Usually about 15 people there. Last night it was somewhere in the region of 200. Including several people who could be identified by their clothing as Rangers supporters.
runningtings
Yet Glasgow as a city voted Yes, so what does that tell us about the Celtic supporter vote. It tells you that there a lot of the knuckle-draggers not resident in Glasgow City.

thplinth
I'd be very curious to see what the voting split was on both half of the OF divide in Glasgow, what %'s voted Yes versus No. You could look at polls on their club forums in the lead up...but it is guesswork really. If I was predicting I suspect the RFC vote would surpass the +65s in voting No. If that is the case then you'd have to think the Celtic fans must have voted Yes in reasonably large numbers to offset them and keep Glasgow as an overall Yes. This is the thing about Glasgow that amazes me, she was carrying all these pathological No's.and still voted for Yes.
Toepoke
I'm not sure if that pre-referendum poll bore out in actuality, but in it Rangers were far from having the highest percentage of Unionist fans. Anyway nice to know what big Mark Dingdong is up to these days, I've missed seeing his cuddly frame on the telly...

I think a lot of Glaswegian Rangers supporters used their head and voted YES (as the result would suggest) .Apart from Bridgeton you don't really get in your face Rangers/Protestant strongholds in Glasgow anymore.Lanarkshire is a different story though... I would imagine the Celtic/Catholic Glasgow vote was split due to the Labour Party
johnnie x
The members on follow follow did a great job of rallying to save their club, a great job of getting rid of the board they have now. I would imagine the Celtic/Catholic Glasgow vote was split due to the Labour Party Agreed. I feel as if there is a fair number of rangers support who would love to get their club back. Supporters who are proud of rangers as a scottish club and are tired of all the union nonsense which is dragging it back. it would be good to see the club rip free of all that and be successful with a more scottish culture. continue to wave UJ's because its the colours of the club not because of king billy. Problem is how do they get rid of the knuckle draggers?
Toepoke
Apart from Bridgeton you don't really get in your face Rangers/Protestant strongholds in Glasgow anymore. Had a chortle on C4 News the week of the vote when Jon Snow went into the Louden. He interviewed the fearsome barmaid who was disgusted that so many of her pals were voting Yes. She was voting No to "keep the Crown". I think Jon was too scared to tell her it wasn't a referendum issue...
