  1. Past hour
  2. nice to be in agreement on something ; lots of things = i just finished the photographer episode today actually - thought that was well done - the lives of footballers wives & families tho does bore the arse of me .....
  3. Today
  4. I think Clarke probably already knows his squad. Up until about a month ago he would have thought he was picking 23 players. With Ferguson definitely being out that is down to 22 and with Hickey more than likely being out, 21. That means he has to pick at least another 5 players who he didn’t think were going to make his original squad. I suspect he probably doesn’t want to pick another 2 who would have pretty much no chance of going to Germany just for the sake of it and will be happy to pick 26 players who know they will be going to the finals when joining up for the warm up games.
  5. I hope he does, getting a taste of tournament football is a good experience for any of our youngsters to inspire them do their part to get to another. Chance of a lifetime to sing our anthem in front of packed stadiums, with the world watching on TV and playing your best for all of us who would give a testie to be where they are.
  6. Yeah. Gareth Southgate was opposed to the expansion of squad sizes from 23 to 26. There's a good chance he'll pick 23. I don't think Steve Clarke was against the expansion. I think he'll pick 26.
  7. Yesterday
  8. That’s easily fixed by limiting everyone to first squads of say 20 players over 21 years old. As many youngsters as they like. Minimum six Scots in starting line-ups; nine altogether.
  9. That seems to be the latest craze for folk with bottomless pockets.
  10. That’s a great title win and all credit goes to the manager. The board can get tae fuck, they have gotten away with murder for the last 3 years. It’ll be interesting to see if Rodgers has forced a change of thinking in the summer. Lovely way to wrap it up smashing that mob in their ain midden! Not that I have anything in particular against them but they have given us a lot of bother this season.
  11. Motherwell are Tottenham in disguise !! 😂😂😂
  12. No, we're a day closer. We will get there, maybe not as fast as we'd hoped but we will get there.
  13. Tbh given how awful we were in the last friendly, you can understand people not bothering. Having said that I'll be there!
  14. That's debatable. For instance, there was the small matter of a certain war that we got sooked into as a result of the union of the crowns, as well as a few other things that were arguably to Scotland's detriment. For me, it was the beginning of the end. Anyway, I am not quite sure what kind of union Roddick is suggesting. Post-independence, we'd obviously still occupy the same landmass as rUK, so it's reasonable that some kind of collaborative agreements are put in place where we have common interests, but any kind of political union can get tae. I don't want London having any direct influence in or on our country. Sadly, all this chat is probably academic, as independence currently looks as far away as it has in a long time.
  15. I would say given it's a Friday night and the send off game, and the fact it's on the package that many have bought, the crowd to be at or approaching 40k
  16. Fireworks going off in Motherwell because a Glasgow team won the league. It's all about getting it right up the other lot. Now that kinda sums up all that is wrong in 'Scottish' football.
  17. Storyville - Preparing for Armageddon on iplayer. -documentary on the Evangelical Right in US in terms of their political influence over politics to shape foreign and domestic policy. Scary stuff.
  18. Gilmour subbed off after 70 minutes. He isn't injured. He rarely finished a match. His average per 90 minutes is 73 minutes. Played well. Typical Gilmour performance.
  19. Some of the fringe players might want to prove themselves worthy of a place in the squad or starting line up. Plus we will want a morale boosting win considering our poor form recently.
  20. Affa quiet oan here the night !! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 GIRFUYs.....
  21. Maybe, but got a feeling 40000 might be the best we will get.Know it's being sold as a send off but friendlies aren't high up in a lot of fans priorities.Understandably to be fair.Been to so many dire and boring friendlies over the years.
  22. Circumstances yes but friendlies hardly ever bring in a big crowd never mind a sell out unless it’s against someone like England. Plus I imagine a lot of folk will be wanting to keep their cash free for Germany. Game will be played at a testimonial pace as none of our players will be wanting to get hurt/tweak something with 7 days to go till the big one.
  23. Can't see Finland bringing too many for a friendly unless they are looking for a cheap weekends drinking. They are probably scunnered after losing the play off game to Wales.
  24. My flight doesn’t open its check in until another 28 days. Although I’ll probably need to check in at the airport itself rather than online/app as going to be taking a checked luggage case with me.
