The poles never reacted but he was lucky he never got a sore face off the Scotland fans near him. Our fans aren't angels. They probably had a bigger section of idiots but you need to look closer to home before starting to condemn others. Sorry you are missing all the other reports scattered around here about Scotland supporters assaulted by Poles both in the ground and on a bus. Look around and you will find them. I haven't said once that our fans are angels but pray tell if our fans are the problems how come we never had such a hoo hah with Irish and German fans scattered around our sections? For most of Poles Irish or Scottish fans can seat anywhere they like. The problem is always with a small minority of supporters who can spoil everything. Flares are banned anywhere in football grounds and I'd say I saw at least 10 in different parts of the stadium being lit up and then we hear of assaults on Scotland supporters - one an old bloke in the North Stand and another on the bus after the game. I heard none of those type of stories even when England played here. That is a sad indictment on those Poles who thought we were still in the dark old days of the 1980s and 90s. Secondly please do not compare the 1980s and 90s to a few incidents yesterday. You go to Glasgow to watch Celtic and Rangers and ''indite'' then - I wonder how many bruised noses and ''assaults'' are reported then. Football always have and will attract idiots. The fact is that in the past year we have had Irish, English, German and Polish fans in the home ends but the Poles by some way were the most aggressive, confrontational and trouble-making. I tell u I was in Warsaw for both Scotland games and there was no trouble at all, party rarther atmosphere. If they were some ''trouble makers'' they are not intrested in people like me or you to fight. They are usually looking for a very similar lot. That was there on Thursday night to a far greater degree than it was when we played Ireland, Germany or England who all had fans in amongst Scotland end. Also read the posts here from genuine people with no axe to grind (pre-match) with Poles. They fo not paint a pretty picture and believe you me there hasn't been such a reaction to trouble at matches on this forum for as ling as I have been a member and that is over 10 years. I was there for that game and you and your fellow countrymen could not do anymore for us. So much so that when sitting in the Castle Square, where my hotel was, that a Poland fan wrapped a scarf round my neck whilst sitting outside in the terrace enjoying a pint and is a treasured souvenir of a great trip. Trust me, I'd go back there in a shot if we drew Poland in another qualifying campaign. Sadly though, listen to some of the stories on here. Particularly about some sinister Polish 'fans', shaven headed and without colours marching up to Hampden and intimidating locals. And you missed the story about a Polish fan apparently having his hands wrapped round the neck of an 8 year old boy in the 'family' section of Hampden. Put it this way, if that story was true and that was my boy that individual would be in a hospital waiting for an air ambulance back to Poland. I would not have been responsible for my actions. The guys that are posting on here about this are regulars at Scotland games and wouldn't post any old crap. As it happens, from where I was sitting and looking at the official Polish support in the West Stand they created a helluva racket and helped create a brllliant atmosphere. But stop ignoring the other stuff I have just highlighted in a previous post. You have to accept that there seems to be a real problem amongst your travelling support. Your reputation goes before you both at club and national level. Like I said, it is a shame it has come to this but there is clearly a very aggressive element within your support. Yes, there are Polish Hoolies who look for trouble there is no question about it but they are no intrested in 8 year old boys. OMG ! I tell u the story then from Warsaw. I went with my mum to the first game against Scotland, March 2014 and I went to a pub in the centre a one of drunk Scottish guys tried to grab my mum as we tried to walk away ( the pub was busy with drinking blokes) and I just said '' Off ''and that was it, we walked off. A shame for all those affected but that's where responsibility lies. Anyone who remembers the super cops with military vehicles and hardware escorting the TA back to Bydgoszcz for their safety years ago (more guns than TA) would know that there might be a problem now more Polish.are living in the UK and Poland has become affluent enough for others to travel. There are problems at every game they play. On the other hand the SFA are managing to organises a ticket pickup in faro to avoid the criminal scourge that is point harvesting? The Tartan Army is very peacful which is great. vast majority of polish fans have nothing to do with the trouble making lot as you could see in Warsaw. Unfortuneatly there will be always some . Not excusing the incident in any way shape or form but that appears to be a completely isolated incident. That said, such idiocy can provide ' first impressions last'. I hope that hasn't given a lasting impression of our support. What I am trying to point out is that there appears to be plentiful instances of disorder amongst Polish fans. Which appears to be a regular occurrence. I've already pointed out elsewhere riots in Belfast in 2009 (given the history of the locals, I'm surprised fans weren't found lying face down in a ditch somewhere) and the behaviour of Slask Wroclaw fans in Dundee which necessitated in police dogs being used in the city for the first time in living memory. I'll bet you appear to be a decent lad who follows his club side and his national team both home and away, but no point in trying to hide from a reputation. There was polish fans ejected from the stadium in Dublin for overly aggressive behaviour. There was polish fans arrested in the stadium due to assaulting an irish police officer during the ireland game as he tried confiscate a flare from a group of polish fans.
