exile
What about the Times? if you're a 'media mogul' with more than one paper, how to decide which strings to pull?
TartanTeddy
Nah mate this is 100% true.Murdoch flew into Scotland today but they're not going live until Monday As in Monday edition front cover? I detest the Sun but we could use a tabloid in the last four days just to beat down some of the lies. TT
neilly71
Every little helps, as has been said, a couple of months ago would have been better but feck it, I''d rather have a couple of pro Indy headlines than none. They get no kudos or thanks from me though, it's blatantly obvious why they're doing it. Still wont but it. I'll never buy a paper again apart from the Sunday Herald no matter who else come out of t woodwork as pro Indy.
thplinth
I don't know about the rest of you but I have grown to love my splendid isolation. I now treasure it. The Sun and Rupert Murdoch can fukk off. This is pure, let's see it out
Goozay
Would be a very interesting development if it happened. What would the editorial stance of the English edition be? That readership would be pro Union and The Sun risks alienating them.

That Salmond and Murdoch met and shook hands when they were both slightly younger?

Jacobite
What was Alex Salmond thinking about he should have told Murdoch to get lost. Just like all those other politicians have done.

I know, Tony Blair did the same so Alex cant be judged too harshly. Wonder how Tony's Damascus moment would have been viewed on here. Do you think The Sun will back the Yes campaign and if so what impact will that have on the vote on Thursday?

Yes I do and I think it will have an impact on left wingers who are backing the Yes campaign. It could have a negative impact. ParisInAKilt
A means to an end. Salmond and possibly Murdoch / the Sun. At this stage after everything's that's happened I don't care what it takes to push through a yes vote.
