Kirk
Is there a more awkward fiddly thing in the world than iTunes?? Agree its pretty pish.
Fairbairn
I've reinstated my Apple Music trial purely because I wanted to hear the new Everything Everything and Jamie T albums (both pish BTW) but I still can't really figure the whole thing out, especially how to manually put on or remove my own music from iTunes on my laptop! DoonTheSlope
I've just noticed that a few of my albums that I paid for legitimately through iTunes are no longer in my library, when I search on iTunes it doesn't come up with the faded "purchased" box it just has the price to download!! Louch
Email them, it may be that the version of the album has changed, they will likely set it for you to reinstall, as you should have it in your purchase history when you go into your my iTunes. Parklife
Pretty much spot on. The only thing more stupid than most Apple products are the folk who pay fortunes for them.
ParisInAKilt
I like the IPhone. I realise this makes me a whanker. Something I've long dealt with. Wouldn't give them a penny for music mind you.
Marky
This is my first attempt to get right through Sandinista. Oooft. Magnificant Seven. What a tune. My iTunes tale of woe is thus. I had my entire music collection on my iTunes library, approximately 3/4 of which had been transferred onto it from CD. My Mrs in her infinite wisdom when we upgraded our PC to an iMac, threw out the old PC complete with my music library on the understanding that "it was all stored in the cloud". Imagine my mild annoyance when I discovered that the only thing in the cloud was the music I had purchased through iTunes. Don't get me wrong, my entire CD collection is still available to me in boxes in the garage, but I just don't have the time or the energy to put them all back on the old fashioned way. Oh and I'd have to buy a disk drive (or whatever they're call these days) for my IMac. I didn't go on about it much!!

I like my iPhone, I like my iPad, I like my iMac. I don't have an loyalty towards Apple, they just offer better hardware than others. People who make judgements based on this are walkers IMO. Fairbairn
So, I updated my phone with the latest OS and the problem of not being able to move my own music to my phone has vanished as every single song that's in my library has now appeared on my phone albeit via the cloud. There is however a new problem. I was listening to an album this morning, NWA, and the version of one of the songs is 100% not the version that I have. So it looks like Apple are putting different versions in the cloud to what is actually in the library. Anyone experienced this and know how to fix? phart
Apple marketing is very scientific, they make their products in a way that attracts identity claims, while laying it against the perceived norm (PC's). Excellence but not mainstream is a great identity claim. However there's a startling difference between the perception and reality. However to recognise the gap you have to have specialist knowledge or go and spend a few hours researching, neither of which are common activities for active consumers. The fact that it's an axiom that you need a "smart" phone(or even a phone) and then the discussion is "what one" is testament to ALL the advertising. That happened with a Phil Collins album I downloaded. Against all odds is just someone on a saxophone now whereas before it was the original version

Charlie Endell
I've finally got round to buying a Bose Bluetooth speaker - I know it's not for the audio purists but sounds grand to someone as tone deef as me - I'm now tempted to keep Apple Music as no real need to purchase music online or a CD ever again
Charlie Endell
Definitely a keeper. Will soon need to upgrade from 64GB phone to 128... I've downloaded a stack of stuff (and made available offline).
