Scunnered
News At Ten there giving McTeirnan carte blanche to attack Corbyn over comments about Iraq from May 2014 that have been unearthed... The backlash from rUK members of the Labour Party has been amusing, they're confused as to who he is... And then reacting with horror and understanding when informed he's partly responsible for the state Labour are in in Scotland.
Ally Bongo
Part of me now wants Corbyn to lose so i can see what happens to the Labour party afterwards If its as if they are in a parralel universe and cant see it Paul Sinclair was just as bad as McTernan on Scotland 2015 where they totally ignored the Labour purge and instead focused on Kezia's speech today where she let us know she didnt learn her politics from books .... Scunnered
You have to admire her neck See, the scary thing is... I don't believe she's trying to be misleading, I genuinely think she believes it. She's a socialist who made one change to Scottish Labours shadow cabinet, which was to remove the only progressive from said cabinet. *slow clap*
Auld_Reekie
Part of me now wants Corbyn to lose so i can see what happens to the Labour party afterwards I think it'll be far more dramatic if Corbyn wins. If he loses, they just continue on the slippery slope they are on, possibly at a faster face as many in party now see them for what they are. If Corbyn wins however, the party is going to implode. That man has little or no chance of getting anywhere near power - the party will find a way to replace him, the party will split, or the secret services will have him drive off a cliff if he looks like he might get close to Downing street. It's actually quite refreshing watching someone other than the SNP show Labour and UK politics up for what it has become.

exile
Aye the vilification of the SNP in the MSM has noticeably decreased since Jezza came on the scene... I see Murdoch has said praised Corbyn's authenticity (and it might just suit him if a Corbyn win derails Labour). It will be interesting to see the reaction - when the Sun 'supported' the SNP, Labour sympathisers blamed the SNP. Will they 'blame' Corbyn? exile
However, a Socialist in charge of the Labour Party in opposition and fighting a General Election will have the full brunt of capital against him which can do no harm in the aim of class consciousness. Can you elaborate on what this aim is, and what we're supposed to do about it?
Armchair Bob
There's a line in Princess Bride where a character says "inconceivable!" about something that is actually happening. Another character says "that word - I don't think it means what you think it does." Anyway, Dugdale, socialism, that.
neilser
News At Ten there giving McTeirnan carte blanche to attack Corbyn over comments about Iraq from May 2014 that have been unearthed... I saw that Corbyn's getting blamed for sitting next to someone who said that every British solider's death was a victory. Meantime the guys that sent those soldiers out to their deaths, by manipulating/falsifying evidence of WMD and voting for the war are somehow seen as mainstream, normal, respectable, fundamentally decent people. Crazy...

phart
Oh how embarrassing! She's a halfwit. "Mensch has been ridiculed for combining a tenaciously philosemitic defence of "the Jewish people" with an ignorance of Jewish history. Mensch once tweeted that the term Zionist was merely an antisemitic code word for Jew; when asked by another user whether she would consider Theodor Herzl—one of the founding fathers of Zionism who has been dead for more than a century—antisemitic if he were to use the term, she replied in the affirmative"

neilser
Folk like her don't get embarrassed. Agreed - she's one of these people who's realised that if you say something confidently, in a posh, plummy tone of voice, there's every chance you'll be believed by people who speak in a more ordinary way. This obviously doesn't work so well on Twitter, where people are much less likely to be subconsciously deferential to her 'status' .

He does look a wee bit like Dr David Kelly.....but with Labour no where near power I woudn't think that he would come to a similar fate...surely?
