PUFC
Will there be any on sale? Or is it not allowed at qualifiers?
kmcca5
No beer on sale at the stadium, there is, with some hospitality packages, a cash bar but not for us plebs.

G1983
Is it not a UEFA rule that you can't sell alcohol at internationals? For example, in Germany, Belgium and (I think) Holland you can buy beer at league games but not at international matches.

EIFA10
I believe it is a UEFA rule, to not have alcohol on sale inside the ground, for Euro qualifiers.
John_B81
Hmm. Shows what I know then!! Mines is a hospitality seat so technically alcohol isn't on sale, it's part of the package.
deecie
There wasn't beer on sale at the Carling Cup games & they weren't even qualifiers. You sure about that one? I'm 99% sure it was available at every game.
Bristolhibby
You sure about that one? I'm 99% sure it was available at every game. The only game I remember getting a pint was the Wales friendly in 2009. A novelty. Also some 2% lager at the game in Stockholm in 2010. Both friendlys. No chance for a qualifier. That said, I was pashed at the NI Carling cup game, and mega hungover at the Ireland game in May so don't remember even looking for a drink at the ground. Haitch
Amazes me how many TA get sucked into buying the non alocholic Grolsch as witnessed in Amsterdam or Dortmund. Not sure if they knew or not come to think of it.

DaveyDenoon
Definitely had beer on sale at the qualifier in Warsaw. Don't think we were meant to take it to our seats but we did anyway and the stewards couldn't have cared less.
thewelk
A lot of the time it is non alcoholic but they print it in tiny writing and put it out of the way so people don't know. Being placebo drunk actually gives much better hangovers.

cwilliamson85
Cash bars and free bars are available depending on your hospitality seat. For example I am in abbey travel section and they state cash bar is available before and after the game.
thewelk
It's also normally written in foreign. Fair point. If you really want a last minute beer/hit before going into the stadium there's a spar shop on the road leading up to the Scotland end which doesn't have any qualms with selling cans to supporters. And on the same road there are a load of middle class houses with nice well kept gardens for you to pee in.
saintsparky
I remember drinking beer in the ground in Zagreb. Although I was too drunk before to notice if it was non alcoholic.....
