adamntg
I've never been less excited about a cup final tha today, expectation is so low. Let's see if I can improve on my record of watching Utd play 14 finals and win 2.
tartanhibee
Sometimes when expectations are low is when you do win. I don't think that they would of been high in 1994? It's a cup final and anything can happen enjoy your day support your team and good luck.
adamntg
Strangely, I was quite hopeful in 1994. Today feels like a routine 3-0 to Celtic and home. But you never know I suppose. It is only the 24 years since we beat them in Glasgow...
At U Peter
Should be a good game today if Dundee United play to their strengths and don't resort to cheating like last week.

That's more obvious than VVD being transferred to a mid EPL team in the summer.
Scunnered
I woke up on the morning of Killies last cup final and didn't want to go. Was expecting a right hounding. In the end, it was glorious

That standard of trolling will see you end up in a relegation battle at the end of the season.
andreimack
I expect the East End Tramps to win easily, 4-1 would be my guess, I'd love to be proven wrong though.

Kittymeister
That two of the best players from either side cannot play can only reduce the quality on show. However as a neutral I would like to see a good competitive match played, with no resort to cheating and that the best team wins. Mind you I would also like World peace, a cure for all illness and a fair a just society.
iainmac1
I am right in thinking Dundee Utd got 18,000 and Celtic 25,000 for this. How is that fair? Did Dundee Utd not take 27k against Ross County and nearer 30k against St. Johnstone. Surely on that basis they could have sold 21,500 tickets which would have ensured a 50/50 split. Toepoke
Would United take 21.5k for a League Cup final v Celtic though?... Edited March 15, 2015 by Toepoke

I would say that though Can't see anything other than a Celtic win today unfortunately.

If we are gonnae feck up I'd rather it was today!

Probably because the glory hunters amongst their support would have been thinking they would win those ones?Hibs are a perfect example. Took 35k to a league cup final v Livingston a few years ago. Obviously thought it would be a walkover Edited March 15, 2015 by Angus_Young
Angus_Young
Ps I would add, that I'm 100% behind a 50/50 split for every final and if the club can't sell them THEN offer them to the other set of fans. Adds to the occasion/day out IMO

iainmac1
It's fair because United got exactly what they asked for. Do previous finals not indicate they could have sold more. Should have asked for 50/50 then returned tickets if they weren't sold by a certain date.
Maq
Hoping for a Utd win on penalties, after a gruelling 120 mins. Couple of red cards for sellick would be nice as well
scoobydoo
Fact is a lot of united supporter don't go to games involving Armband FC or the bigots eleven. The waft of piss and shit makes them feel faint.

scoobydoo
Dundee? Irony? No? According to some Fundee supporters most united supporters come from North Fife and Angus, not the shitty of dundee.
scoobydoo
I think it is only right celtic get more tickets, they have more supporters. What pisses me off is how they get the east end of the ground as it is traditional. Favouritism more like.
