saintlyscot
Ed seems to be feeling the heat with backbenchers asking for him to stand down. I watched his performance at pmq this week and it was dreadful. Cameron was playing with him and destroyed him. It is said some mp's want him replaced in acceptance the election is lost but hoping it will save their seats. It is no doubt the dissenters are growing after his disastrous conference speech amid plunging personal approval ratings. In reality the only thing that is saving this dysfunctional twat is the fact we are so close to a GE and labour have no one to ride to the rescue. irnbruman
Although it means either a Tory government or a Tory/UKIP coalition , even a moderate demise of Labour in England combined with a collapse of Labour in Scotland would be a good thing for future possibility of Independence,

Orraloon
dont compare Ed Moribund to Michael Foot - I liked Michael Foot..... Michael Foot was an intellectual genius compared to the vast majority of todays politicians. I would have voted for him. Better than Tony Benn in my opinion. giblet
if they replaced him with Alan Johnson they would still have time to win the GE
Auld_Reekie
if they replaced him with Alan Johnson they would still have time to win the GE Agreed. Any new leader will get a bounce and ultimately, anyone is going to compare favourably with Miliband. And if they get someone who can perform in live TV debates, I think they'd be in with a good chance of winning a majority.
Flora MaDonald
if they replaced him with Alan Johnson they would still have time to win the GE I agree - Johnson's actually a normal human-being. Has he said if he's interested ?
Toepoke
Denied it on This Week recently (but how often do politicians say that). I wonder what the impact in Scotland would be of a change of Labour leader?...
Toepoke
Noticed Alan Johnson will be 65 in May. Maybe he thinks he's too old for the top job (although it would certainly be a big anti ageism statement)...
Padre Andrew
Johnson is the genuine article, though. I've respect for him. Everything about Miliband looks contrived. He comes across as a fraud, and he's more awkward than any other politician I can think of. A presentation disaster.
Flora MaDonald
Deep down Milliband is probably a decent guy. Blair phuqqed up that party once and for all.
