Yes when I looked at projected pots last month I noted that too. Pot 2 or Pot 3 - maybe better off in Pot 3.

If those pots were to stay as they are for the draw then best draw with us in Pot 3 would be:-

Belgium

Albania

SCOTLAND

Slovakia

Toughest draw would be:-

France

Denmark

SCOTLAND

Croatia (via play-offs)

I'm no Statto but as far as I can work out we will need to win and score at least twice against Norway to get a pot 2 position ahead of Austria.  But, like I say, I wouldn't put your mortgage on this information

Austria won 2 -0 against Estonia, so I think we need to beat Norway by two goals to overtake them?

I won't lose any sleep over what pot we are in as being in pot 3 looks the better option.

This is actually straight forward.

- Scotland beat Norway by 2 Clear Goals and we are a Pot 2 Team.

- We don't beat Norway by 2 Clear Goals, we are a Pot 3 Team.

This is based on 1 assumption: That Belgium beat Azerbaijan at Home. If that happens it leaves Austria on 2nd with 19 Points and a +10 GD (17 GS). Scotland are currently on 16 Points with +9 GD (14 GS). Win by 2 Clear Goals and we over take them. If we match there Goals Record Exactly, they beat us on Tie-Breakers courtesy of AWAY WINS. So the only 1 Goal Victory for Scotland which would over take them on the Tie Break is if we get to a minimum of 18 Goals Scored, which would be a 4-3 Win.

Denmark or Slovenia (whoever ends up 2nd) will be unable to over take Scotland. Both are on 13 Points with 2 to Play. But, they play each other. That discounts any possibility of the 2nd Placed team ending up on 19 Points.

As for what's the best Pot to be in? That's a whole different calculation.
