Bannannan
Nothing's changed. We've always needed 4 points against Poland and Ireland. If we draw at Celtic Park we need to win in Dublin. Correct
Hessen
I watched the Germany Ireland game...Germany were average, Ireland worked hard......the group is wide open
daddybuc16
Would prefer to win both they games against ireland. Was going to be that 3 way fight between us, germany will come good. Said before it, tonight a point would be good enough, but next 3 games are crucial.

Toepoke
4th in the table now, not good enough We were 4th in the table at kick off. Now got our hardest 2 games out the way too...
ParisInAKilt
Fascinating group. I know it would be close and exciting but not as much as this at an early stage. Enjoyed watching this Scotland side more than any in my lifetime
thplinth
Table my arse, three games in and each result is as expected or better.
Sponge Bob Tartan pants
We have played the two hardest away games!! Think the next game is a must win which I believe we can. By all accounts Germany again have bossed the game and failed to get all 3 points in their last two games. If you look at who has played who then it doesn't look too bad with roi and Gibraltar at home for the next two games then we should be looking for six points. I'm still positive and fully believe we can win all our home games and possibly go unbeaten for the rest of the group. I look forward to all the abuse and doubters ?? dusseldorf mark
i dunno, i'd have taken 4 points if germany were on 9, but with Ireland and poland both taking points off them, it's now more wide open 1 point from those two hardest games isn't great maybe i'm just being pessimistic (and pissed off cos i'm not in Poland now) Edited October 14, 2014 by dusseldorf mark

daddybuc16
Have we played Ireland yet?!Was replying to the fadiator saying that 4 points is good enough. Im saying we NEED 6 given what happened in germany tonight. Edited October 14, 2014 by daddybuc16
EddardStark
Beat ROI and we negate their result tonight. A win against Poland will put us in a very strong position. People are being a bit negative on tonights results. Especially as ROI and Poland have yet to play each other.

the_fadiator
Why? 4 points from Poland and Ireland, plus a win away to georgia will at least be good enough for 3rd. And surely Ireland's luck's done now after two late goals.
redstevie007
Full house for the ROI game anyone? I hear resolve creaking...
one t in scotland
And surely Ireland's luck's done now after two late goals. To be fair Scotland had a grand slice of good fortune this eve with the post / open goal rebound incident. Add in the Georgia sitter with 10 to go on Sat. Fine lines. The night we play gibraltar they play each other which is why it is important we put them on the back foot, because poland look like they are go be in that top 2 and hopefully germanys bad run will stop and finish in there as well, so go be between us two to battle it oot. I have no idea right now whether Poland will finish 2nd or 4th. The could lose at Hampden, in Dublin and in Germany, and even drop points away to Georgia. the_fadiator
They took Ireland to the last minute. They may well get a draw in Tblisi. Just hope it's not against us!
bossman4
Georgia will take points of teams at home, they always do. Drew with France at home in the last campaign. Took Spain to score 2 very late goals to win there as well.
girvanTA
Maximum points I think we will get Germany 1 point Gibraltar 6 points Georgia 6 points Poland 4 points Ireland 3 points Should be enough to get to France 2016
the_fadiator
And head-to-head is huge if we manage to come level with Ireland and/or Poland. 2 goals tonight helps. Higher number of points obtained in the matches played between the teams in question; Superior goal difference resulting from the matches played between the teams in question; Higher number of goals scored in the matches played between the teams in question; Higher number of goals scored away from home in the matches played between the teams in question;
