    Lithuania game

I'll probably go, but like others i can't seem to get myself up for this campaign at all, still drained after the Euros.
  3. Surely McCormack had to come in
  4. I'd take McCormack over him every day of the week ofcourse, but considering Strachan's shown he's not against picking championship players, and that Cummings has scored 5 in his last three games, i wouldn't have been surprised to see him in.
  5. A tad suprised not to see Cummings or McCormack, again it doesn't exactly fill you with enthusiasm seeing a few of the old guard still in the squad but i suppose we don't have much to pick from
  6. Sickening. Maybe i'm just being irrational right now but i think Strachan got his subs wrong tonight. Robbo had to stay on and Griffiths should've been on much much earlier
  7. Reading the Irish forums makes me realise how far we've come. The comments on there are identical to ours at the start of the last campaign. Strachan tried something different in the first half today and it just didn't work, we need to stick to our style (how we played in the second half) and we've got a good chance here. would rather have Robertson playing in the remaining games, yes he has been fragile defensively a few times but he's top class going forward. I'm glad leaving Anya out didn't cost us the game, hopefully WGS has learned not to tinker with the team too much after today.

  9. I've always thought Different People by Biffy Clyro would be perfect for a Scotland game - slow build up then it erupts into an anthem, the lyrics are quite fitting too, talking about home etc too. Insomnia worked well at the Italy game but i get the feeling the birdie song could've fired everyone up that night
  10. A lot of overreacting in here IMO, as others have said , the atmosphere at the remaining home games will be phenomenal. Did anyone really expect a good atmosphere against Gibraltar on a Sunday afternoon?
  11. http://www.talkingbaws.com/2015/03/25/sid-lowe-risk-of-scotland-losing-jack-harper-is-real-as-spanish-rate-him-highly/ Sid Lowe hitting the nail on the head also
  12. That's Strachan, Sbragia and now Brown that have all said the same thing. For starters he's been on TV a handful of times, and are people like Sbragia not paid to watch potential Scotland players? lazy/ignorant to say that no one's been able to watch him.
  13. Basically saying that playing for Real Madrid doesn't make him better than other Scottish players and other negative pish along the same lines
  14. Watched a couple of Youth Champions League games earlier in the season, thought he looked pretty good technically. I remember him being very confident on the ball too.
  15. Ridiculous thing to say. He has the totally wrong attitude, get him, and anyone with the same mindset the fk away from our setup asap
  16. The sentimental ties to Hampden mean i'm glad we're back there but i have to say the noise levels at Celtic park were better than any game we've had at Hampden in recent times (obviously the fact that we played two of our rivals played a part in that) The break from Hampden made me realise just how much we could do with the stands being closer to the pitch, that being said, it'll be nice to be back in the national stadium
  17. Blackpool have sent Islam Feruz back to Chelsea. To think i once had high hopes for the lad, his attitude is terrible it seems. Tweeted the other night after a Blackpool game 'this team take more kick offs than corners'
  18. Very encouraging, he seems to have impressed the manager with his league cup performances. I'm trying not too get too carried away/exited but we could have a very good player on our hands. Will Strachan give him his debut vs Gibraltar?
  19. Rumours were true, Gauld starts

    Adrian Durham

Like others have said, his job is to get folk to call up, so he just says outrageous things to wind folk up, he constantly contradicts himself too. Take no notice of him

That is just brilliant. A couple of years ago we were all thinking that the national team just didn't mean much to players anymore.
  22. It infuriates me that sectarianism is still a huge issue in our game, it angers me even further that people bring their club attitudes to the national side, I heard a Scotland fan call refer to Naisy as a 'wee turncoat ' , what kind of support is that? For what it's worth i'm a Celtic fan, but i completely forget about which team a player plays for when he pulls on a Scotland shirt. Unfortunately some people seem unable to let go of their club agendas. I'm very disappointed to hear of coin throwing and verbal abuse etc, i can guarantee that the majority of the Scotland support will treat you with a friendly attitude, but it's worrying that the number of idiots attending our games seems to be on the rise. I'm not in anyway condoning the coin throwing and abuse, but i think in a game of this magnitude, with all at stake and the Mcgeady factor (which seemed to raise aggression levels, perhaps understandably) and with the atmosphere in the stadium, with away fans mixing in the Scotland end , there was always going to be a bit of tension in the stands. It saddens me that some people had a negative experience in Glasgow , however i hope the vast majority were welcomed with open arms, i'm very much looking forward to coming over to Dublin, where i expect the atmosphere to be good natured.
  23. Funnily enough my old man said 'aw what the f**ck are they taking it short for' it must be an age thing
