If you don't agree with the words I have used then fine that is not something I am going to argue about.

You could make an argument for the case that going up to 36,000 feet in the air, in heavy machinery, is a bigger risk than being earth bound, crossing a road. And yet. There's variables to everything in life.

They act all hard online. In real life? Scared of their own shadow. Here’s a thought. Why not get a T-shirt printed with ‘I am Chripper’ on it. Then wear it to the next Scotland game we’re all allowed to attend. I’m sure there’d be no risk, perceived or otherwise. Then come on here afterwards and tell us all about it

giblet
I cant help feeling if this horrific crime hadnt happened to a white female living amongst the chattering classes in London, this would not nearly have got so much reporting and indeed the following on grief mongers looking for any excuse to go out and demonstrate. There absolutely should be a conversation had in respect of the safety of woman being free from the hassle and threats of predatory individuals. Shaundy
I’m interested to hear about the alleged killer’s past history. He didn’t join this Met Police armed protection unit till his mid 40s , so he has a career behind him. I’ll keep my thoughts for now as to what that might be . A discussion is needed, but an honest one . Not the stranger danger bollox. The reality for all but young men is the behind closed doors threat from known assailants. edit hear Edited March 17, 2021 by Shaundy

In England a MMA fighter killed his girlfriend as he caught her in bed with a 15 year old boy. There's all sorts of wrong in that story. Taylor1996
And on the flipside of things. A young woman, accusing actor Armie Hammer of rape. He's now produced a screen cap of her sending him texts which she is encouraging blood play, choking her out and "owning her". https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9377895/Woman-24-accuses-Armie-Hammer-raping-terrifying-four-hour-ordeal.html He's kinky, but I doubt he's a rapist. That's incredible. The best bit is when his lawyer said the officer couldn't do community service because he would be mixing with criminals. If he doesn't want to spend time with criminals he shouldn't act criminally. I'm appalled he isn't doing time, this verdict is horrifying, particularly to women. Presumably now the court case is over, the police can carry out their own disciplinary processes and ,unless they want this all over the media, he will be sacked. phart
Some of the information coming out now is mind boggling. He had a nickname of "the rapist" his car was linked to 2 other indecent exposure cases etc. Sir Tom, who in his role has responsibility for the inspection of police forces, told BBC Radio 4's the World at One: "Yes, I did know that. And he also had allegedly a reputation in terms of drug abuse, extreme pornography and other offences of this kind." Harrowing stuff about how it happened etc.

scotlad
It beggars belief that he was suspected of exposing himself just days before he murdered that poor girl, and yet he was still allowed to carry out his duties. We've probably all met creepy colleagues but this bastard was nicknamed 'The Rapist' - by the very people whose job it is, amongst other things, to detect and catch rapists! What he did was heinous enough but the fact he was in a position of trust and exploited it to carry out his evil crime just makes it a million times worse. phart
Wayne Couzens was in a WhatsApp group where he shared misogynistic, racist and homophobic texts with fellow police officers, it has emerged. The ‘vile’ messages were found on the murderer’s phone after he was arrested for the killing of Sarah Everard in March. Other members of the group, including three serving Met Police officers, an officer from Norfolk constabulary and another from the civil nuclear constabulary, where Couzens previously worked, are being investigated. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IOPC) has launched an investigation into whether they committed gross misconduct and may still begin criminal proceedings, The Times reported. The organisation said the texts were of a ‘discriminatory and/or inappropriate nature.’ https://metro.co.uk/2021/10/01/sarah-everard-murder-wayne-couzens-sent-racist-whatsapp-messages-to-fellow-cops-15346285/
