Caledonian Craig
Just being too reactive at present. Nishikori being the more aggressive and firing off from the baseline whilst Murray is a few metres further back. Needs to switch it up. That time violation may inspire him though. Caledonian Craig
Better this from Murray just getting inside Nishikori's head and firing himself up better. Double break up and serving for the second set leading 5-1.
Caledonian Craig
And Murray has a breadstick winning the second set 6-1.
Caledonian Craig
Nishikori really is an enigma. He has sets he can go away and then switch it right back on again in the next set.
Caledonian Craig
Murray wins the third set tie-break in a canter and leads two sets to one. An air of caution though as this was the state of affairs between the two in the US Open last year and Nishikori won.

biffer
Murray wins. A wee wobble at the start of that set losing his service but six games on the spin to win it.

Murray wins in four sets and reaches the semis. Anything else now is a massive bonus considering where he was form-wise coming into the tournament. Caledonian Craig
Andy Murray really racking up some impressive career stats now. In reaching the semis at the French Open it is his 21st slam semi-final. Two times Olympic Champion. World Tour Finals winner. Davis Cup winner. 14 Times Masters 1000 Title win (5th in all-time list) Stands alone with Roger Federer as only current pro to have 100 matches on all three surfaces. Govanhill Jacobite
Watched the Djokovic game last night, the amount of unforced errors was frighting. As for Andy tomorrow going to be a tough one but fingers crossed he gets through. Murray in 4 and think Nadal will win in 3 Murray Nadal Final
Caledonian Craig
Murray V Wawrinka are always hard to predict. The head-to-head would suggest a Murray win as he leads 10-7. In slams they have met four times and Murray leads 3-1. On the other side of the coin on clay Wawrinka leads 2-1. Going into the match Wawrinka has had the much easier ride through so he'll be physically fresher. If Murray plays at a consistently high level and negates Wawrinka's power he wins every time. If Murray's level is a little lower then Stan certainly can win. Result depends on a lot but whatever happens at least Andy is back playing at a much higher level in time for his preferred surface - grass.
