I don’t think that’s a bad shout, hadn’t thought of Porteous as right back. Has he played that position much? The only issue might lack of width but playing in a back four for Liverpool doesn’t stop Robertson getting forward. However, I fully expect numerous people to tell you how we can’t play a back four!

If, as is quite possible, Hickey, Patterson and Tierney are all ruled out through injury I think we should go to four at the back. The wing-back system only benefits us with the Tierney/Robertson pivot and we are weakened greatly trying to play the same system without Tierney. Porteous has (I think) played as a right-back for Watford this season and Hendry and McKenna as centre-backs with Robertson at left-back. Midfield of five consisting of Christie, McTominay, McGinn, Gilmour and McGregor with Shankland or Dykes or Adams up front.

i watched Slow Horses Season 1 on Apple Tv ; even though its right up my street , i found it a bit unbelievable - when i don't think that was the idea ; it was almost a mash up of various other shows I've seen over the years maybe Gary Oldman stuck in my head being Smiley in the Tinker, Tailor film of few years back ; which i really enjoyed James Bond on Werthers .....

Gone a bit under the radar but noticed that Matthew Craig has apparently been having a very successful loan at Doncaster from Spurs, was spurs u21s captain before joining Doncaster in Jan on loan, signed a long term deal at Spurs last summer so hopefully gets a higher up loan next year.

Haha, that does sound like us. We're due a bit of good fortune in tournaments. We had plenty in qualifying but, as far back as I remember, we've never won a tournament game we didn't deserve to win. Others have. We had chances to win against Czechia and Croatia even if, certainly in the latter case, it would have been undeserved.

I now have an official and unofficially sourced Home jersey. Here are the side my side comparisons. My expensive one is XXL....and fits....my XXXL cheap doesn't fit me. That is immediately apparent, as is the shade of yellow on the collar and the quality of the patch. Yyou can see a few variations, they appear about the same weight, and the materials feel the same with the exception of the webbed portion at the lower back half because the official one is see through, but to the eye they look the same. The other thing you will notice is the brightness of the patterned motif - you can see the unofficial one is not as bright, and the shape of the yellow piece under the arm pits is different. Now I will say if I was wearing my unofficial one, the only thing that would give it away is the patch I firmly believe everything else would go unnoticed .
