Just because Ruthie says (over and and over and over again) that they are going to be 2nd doesn't mean it will definitely happen. She doesn't know any better than the rest of us, unless of course she has counted the postal ballots again? I still think somebody should have been prosecuted for that. Is it not still with the PF? maybe waiting till after the vote..
thplinth
Amazing that some Labour MPs are prepared to see their own party smeared as having an "anti semitic problem" in order to weaken Corbyn. It is very ugly bridge burning stuff and it is a long way to the next election. If the Blairites win Labour is dead in all but name. If they don't this will take Labour two general elections at least to cleanse itself of the Blairites. The Israel Lobby are out to get Corbyn, the media are against him, his own party is prepared to damage itself to hurt him... (Has anyone checked on / seen Scunnered recently?) The police came back a few months ago saying they hadn't been able to establish any criminality. That said, there's an interesting wee piece in the Sunday Herald today which says that the police have stated that they only interviewed 3 people in the investigation - hardly seems extensive, but anyway - but importantly all three were subjects of the investigation, ie, they would have been interviewed under caution as suspects. Ruth Davidson for a stronger opposition - to give her her full title - previously stated that she was interviewed but as a witness implying she herself wasn't under any suspicion which now doesn't seem to be the case. Being under suspicion clearly isn't the same as being guilty of anything but she really should be held to account publicly about exactly what her involvement was. i think officially the case is still open but not under active investigation. I think Davidson is banging on about the referendum as she knows public opinion is still very much to remain within the union. 15/16 of the recent polls still have very much to maintain the Union. However what Davidson has done has to position the Tories as a party of choice within an increasingly devolved political landscape in Scotland and do her level best to draw a line between her and Cameron and the more toxic Westminster Tory Party. http://whatscotlandthinks.org/questions/how-would-you-vote-in-the-in-the-scottish-independence-referendum-if-held-now-a#table Interesting link, cheers. It seems the Yes vote took a big hit around February/March 2015. I googled historical graphs of the price of Brent crude oil, and it seems that was the cause.
