thplinth
Voting for Christmas not to come. They were the ones behind that fake chemical attack they tried to blame on Assad. They are supporting ISIS big time and have been itching to do something like this since the Russians started bombing. They are trying to escalate it. thplinth
Even if the Russian plane entered Turkish airspace and I don't believe it did for one second so what. The Turks know what the Russians are doing there so why shoot down their plane. It is outrageous. NATO just shot down a Russian plane that was fighting terrorists. Think about that for a moment..crazy turkish pricks. Edited November 24, 2015 by thplinth
Charlie Endell
Farewell, TK1. Glad I went when I had the chance.Turkey is a NATO member, so it could be farewell from all of us. thplinth
I had a bad feeling when they started sending top of the line fighter interceptors to the region, both the US (and allies) and Russia. These planes are only for taking out other sophisticated war planes, things ISIS simply do not possess. They obviously anticipated a threat from someone who does. Really not good. Orraloon
I'd return their membership card right now. Aye. they don't have nuclear weapons so should never have been allowed in. Kick them out now.

thplinth
Forgive my ignorance.... so what is or would be the aim of the Turks? Well I can only suspect they are trying to draw the US/West into it using NATO as the lure. Quite honestly it is lunacy no matter what their plan is here. Be interesting to see if the US distances itself from this madness. Very dangerous times.
Third Lanark
Yes Jeremy Corbyn! What a two faced kent eh. You can bet your life Corbyn does not support NATO but in his present delicate position if he expressed doubts he would be slaughtered by the media and the right wing of his party. He is not therefore a two-faced kent. Just like he reluctantly bacame a Privy Council member. Once the ordinary Labour members get represented in the PLP things will change. Is that with a view to them winning their own battles vs the Kurds on bordering territories or are they strongly opposed to Assad as well? I'm not well-informed enough on the complexities of the region so intrigued to know.

Hmmm I can just imagine the response had I argued that Nicola ‘in her heart’ does not support NATO. Naw sorry actions speak louder than words. Corbyn supports NATO membership. FACT!
