Gala Tartan Army (Borders)
We usually go to the North stand but have been a bit disappointed with the atmosphere there recently . On Monday night we went to the West stand, don't know if it was about being so close to the Germans but the atmosphere and banter was fantastic throughout the game . West stand for us from now on ! scottincarlisle
North stand has been dead for years. Agreed getting close to good natured away fans livens things up.
Auld_Reekie
Im pretty sure significant numbers moved from North Stand to West this campaign after the SFA tried to f*** us over on pricing. Again. I know our group refused to pay the extra and moved round to the West Stand. Id imagine a number of others did too. Atmosphere was decent enough on Monday. giblet
With my laddie finally reaching 16 years old, my last 10 years in the East finally ended with us going into the North on Monday night. Fantastic to be back in land of non high pitched screams of Scotland and pished up young un's on a cheap ticket standing and giving abuse to everyone asking them to politely sit down. joe545
Was in the north stand and had a group next to me sieg heil-ing and doing the dambusters theme. I'll choose another stand next time ...
1ANDYP
West stand has been far better for years. Whilst there are many decent folk in the north. There are far too many with their heid too far up their arse..
The Laud
50 odd from kirkcaldy tartan army have moved from the north to the west stands for the last few games. While the atmosphere has been really good you still cant beat the view from the centre of the north. Goozay
Careful. SFA will see this thread and whack £5 on top of the price of a West Stand seat.
Famousfor15minutes
I'm like giblet, took my boys to the East stand for years and took the opportunity to move to the North this year despite the over inflated prices. That's when we noticed that all the singing started in the West and the banter between the two sets of fans looked great. West stand for us next time
jock strap
West stand always for Internationals.
northernscum
Might give the West a shot for the next campaign. The only times I have been in it is for a couple of low key friendlies, and the atmosphere was grim. But i agree, on Monday I was in C1 on the border of North and West & the West seemed to be buzzing, with all the songs starting from there. Gala Tartan Army (Borders)
Going to be totally mental in the West for Poland . Not sure I want to be in the section right next to them though , could be a bit wild .
iainmac1
Been in West Stand corner since Euro 2008 qualifiers and it is great. All the up themselves guys with big feathers sticking out of their hats can stay in the North Stand, was a benifit of moving to the West getting away from them. If you lot all move over, then all the West Stand fans will switch to the North and it will be a vicious cycle of musical chairs.
redstevie007
There's a fair proportion of wallopers wherever you are in the ground to be fair. I've been going to the West stand for years now and the atmosphere's nearly always brilliant. The banter with the Germans the other night was great fun and friendly, despite the odd fud from our support going on about Nazis and Jews. In the same seat for Poland next month (section B1, right next to the away support) so might be interesting Edited September 9, 2015 by redstevie007
iainmac1
We normally go in the corner of the West/North. B5-7ish I think.
radian_13
West stand for every home game, best atmosphere!!
SheepieTartanArmy
I go west stand as there's great atmosphere with the added bonus of banter with the away fans. I used to go north stand but the ticket cost has put me into the west.
wembley67lisbon
West stand last few games for me too
Bennyal
I was north stand loyal until Monday night but due to prices found myself in b5, think its my new home. We should start at TAMB section, all try and get tickets in the same area
Wigtownshire-Matt
West if ok if you choose your seats. If you're stuck behind the goals the view is horrific.
deecie
I've been sitting in the West Stand since the qualifiers for Uruguay 1930...
glasgow jock
West Stand (Old timers like me still call it The Rangers end ffs) has always been the part of Hampden with the best atmosphere IMO.
