saintlyscot
The proposed 75m womens super prison to replace Cornton Vale is to be scrapped. Quite a change in policy from the new justice secretary. This was one of Kenny Mccaskills babies. Smaller local units will now be built for women offenders. Flure
I think this reflects the majority (if not consensus) opinion.
Parklife
Embarassing climbdown by the SNP. Be interesting to know how much money has been wasted on preparatory works at the Greenock site.

Michael Matheson has reviewed the evidence and seems to have a coherent plan going forward.

Toepoke
Be interesting to know how much money has been wasted on preparatory works at the Greenock site. Flattening parts of Greenock is never a waste of money
teecee-
I could see the benefit of Greenock namely less travelling time for most visitors.

Boynze
to be fair 75m is a lot of women, so probably oversized in the 1st place.
dezmondo
It was to be on the site of my old school and is on my way home from work each day. They've flattened the whole lot and altered the road and redirected the burn that runs parallel to it. I'm predicting ASDA will be built on it, although funnily enough, from a young age I always thought it would be a great sight for Morton to build a new stadium(not that it's ever going to happen).
