  1. Definitely not a joke. I'm not defending anyone and I'm certainly not ignorant 😁. I'm simply saying in reply to folk being offended by 'Scotland get battered' and songs about John Mcginn etc that I personally don't see what is that offensive. I don't particularly like a lot of their fans either but as I said - as a father of a son with special needs - a 1000 or so folk singing the Harry Kane song is far more offensive than anything that I heard the other night. I could list others.
  2. I actually thought the Northern Ireland fans supported their team well and sang pretty much throughout the match. 75% of their singing was the 'Scotland get battered' song. Personally found it funny as we don't and it's just a bit of banter. Anyone offended by that really should give up football 🤣 The other songs? Not massively offensive tbh. Whatever floats their boat. I've heard worse chants from our fans, the 'Harry Kane' one being an example and before anyone says, it was sung by more than just a small minority. We've even got someone defending it above 🙈
  3. It's very likely that we could be 1 win from 12 after the Euros and a distinct possibility that we could be 1 win from 18 by the end of the year. God bless Gibraltar 🤣 If that was the case it would be difficult for him to survive regardless of the opposition.
  4. I'm a big believer that in most football matches the team that wants it most, usually wins and that was the case tonight. We played the game like a friendly whereas Northern Ireland played it like a competitive match. They were closing us down better and flying into tackles. Worryingly though we look devoid of anything up front. We really have one of the worst options up front in the whole of Europe.
  5. I know. Let's play France or the Netherlands and get our confidence up.
  6. I've managed to work out a rough route and plan to do 50km. Will likely start around 9am and be done by around 2.30pm.....at least it'll keep me off the beer for one night! I've contacted the TACC and will be raising money on their behalf and will post details closer to the time.
  7. Have you tried the CEDR site? I was shafted by BA on 3 separate occasions last year and was messed about trying to get money from them. Used CEDR and I have had my compensation etc resolved for the first 2 and am now just waiting on the 3rd one getting sorted. Takes a bit of time but worth it I'm the end.
  8. Hi, A wee bit of a different topic here and I understand it won't be in many or any folk's plans! I'm planning on doing an ultramarathon around Munich the day before the match. Likely 50km. It's always a great way to see a city. I never run for charity or anything but I may for this given the occasion. I wonder if TACC may be interested. Anyway, I know 99.9% of folk will be in the pub but if anyone is interested or knows anyone maybe interested in running all or part of the way please send me a message 👍
  9. Slim pickings with accommodation. We've booked 17th - 24th and plan to stay in the Stuttgart area. Hotels are just unaffordable, Airbnb ok but quite far out.
  10. Well that was seamless! 2 tickets bought for me and my son for Hungary and Switzerland matches.
  11. My nerves can't handle this. Wish I'd tried accessing it earlier. Looks like we're all in the same boat though
  12. What's this queue all about?! Wasn't like this yesterday
  13. Yes, it's the only the way they can get booked. Having to gamble here 🙈. That's what I was thinking, I'll literally jump on a few minutes before 🤞
  14. For the folks like me on over 12 points but waiting to buy together with 11 pointers today (my under 18 son) I'm assuming it makes sense to log in pre noon, add my tickets to the basket, then add my sons codes at noon??
  15. The bit that says access codes will be different for those on 32-12 points - one code for all 3 matches - is confusing me. I plan to buy a ticket for myself for the opening match tomorrow, then hopefully pick up tickets for me and my u18 son together on Thursday when it drops to 11 points, Is this possible? Can the code be reused I presume? Stressed out 😅
  16. Same here. I'm on 14, son on 11. He should be on 12 but that's another story. I've booked to go to Munich myself and will fly back to take him out for the next 2 games 🙈. Obviously I'll wait until Thursday for the 11 points sale and pray that i get 2 tickets for at least one of the last 2 matches 🤞
  17. There are 2600 folk on 12 points. I'd estimate that approximately 600 of these folk don't plan on going to Germany. Given that the total people with 12 points and above is 7869, I think taking into account the above, holidays, folk not planning going to all 3 games, then there will be at least 3000 tickets per match going down to 11 pointers. There are 7100 folk on 11 points. If we say 1000 have no intention of going, 3000 plan on going out for 1 game and 3000 for 2 games (roughly) that would mean everyone on 11 points should get tickets for any match they like (albeit more expensive) and I suspect folk on 10 will get a sniff too. Just my opinion 🫣
  18. I'm in the same position as you. I'm on 14, son on 11. Am I right in saying under 18s can't buy tickets without an adult and therefore I have to wait on the points threshold dropping to 11. Either way I'll need to wait I suppose!
  19. I'm in a similar position to you mate. I'll have enough points but my son is on 11 points. Doesn't look likely 11 will be enough. I didn't take my tickets for the last Euros as I didn't want to go without him and now it seems it'll be the same again 😪
  20. How does it work getting seats together if you're on separate points when there's a ballot? I'll be buying for me and my boy and on both occasions he's come to an away match there hasn't been a ballot so I haven't encountered this......I don't think 🙄
  21. Just been looking at the UEFA site and didn't realise the initial sales period is buying tickets blind for matches you don't know who will be contesting them. There is a second window in December once the draw is made where you can enter a ballot for your team - I can't imagine there would be loads available? I now take my 12 year old boy to all the matches. I have 14 points which I would imagine would be sufficient for tickets for a couple of the matches but unfortunately he will only be on 11 once the tournament comes around and that won't be enough. So frustrating as he should be on 13 points but I messed up a home match ticket order in 2021 meaning he lost out on 2 points - feeling pretty guilty about that now 🙈. I chose not to take tickets for Euro 2021 as he couldn't go then either. Now it looks like I'll have the same dilemma if I don't get lucky in the UEFA ballot!
  22. The Harry Kane song is a total embarrassment. Any grown man singing that should be ashamed of themselves.
  23. I've been reading the 'retirement' thread with interest and wondered if anyone has successfully changed career over the years. I'm 43 years old, work as a dentist and I've decided I'm going to chuck it next year and do something else. It's quite daunting the thought of doing something different from all you've ever known, and also the fact I'll be taking a significant pay cut but it's something I've thought about for a number of years now and when you begin to realise how unhappy you are in your job and that you're not getting any younger, then it's finally time to do something about it. I've been seeing a careers coach of sorts and have enjoyed the process so far but as much as it's got me thinking and planning, I still feel nowhere near to what I would like to do. There's plenty of decent careers out there that don't require years of retraining but it's still difficult narrowing out down to a job that i can hopefully enjoy, or at worst, not dislike! Any advice welcome 😁
  24. Anyone in the march to the stadium might have been lucky enough to see the team arrive in the bus. Was a bit disappointed not one of the players could muster up a wave to my 10yr old son as he stood waving to them passing. Pricks
  25. The love in with Clarke is bizarre. McLeish got us to the Euros playoffs and Clarke got us over the line. Other than that he's fucked the euros, fucked the last nations league, fucked the Ukraine play off and fucked this tonight against a team that has only ever scored 2 nations league goals.....with a better set of players than any of his predecessors. If that was McLeish tonight everyone would be up in arms, but apparently we're making progress 🤔
