Charlie Endell
If it's the Sky Lounge that's pish - won't even let you have a double - singles only.
BremnerLorimerGray
I get the Glasgow Skylounge free amongst a few others and I still give it a miss. The Skyteam(KLM, Air France etc) lounges are pretty good.

Ask for a whisky: the lad gets out a tall glass, starts pouring and says "Say when". Just thought I'd mention it if anybody happened to be passing through. thewelk
Lounges are nice comfortable places to chill or do a bit of work before a flight. There's something about a pay lounge full of Glaswegians getting their money's worth of drink that doesn't appeal. giblet
the BA one that used to be at Birmingham was great. (now flybe). Self Serve bar on all spirits and beer in fridge. rounds of sandwiches and comfy sofas. Used to wait till last minute to book my flights so I would get auto flexi ticket giving me access. thewelk
Thats a disgrace saying something like that, Why? It's a disgrace the way British people treat airports as a place to get tanked up.
Fairbairn
Why? It's a disgrace the way British people treat airports as a place to get tanked up. I kind of agree. The amount of people you see sitting supping pints at 6am and justifying it because "I'm on holiday" is unbelievable.

Done the lounge a couple of weeks ago, very relaxing, no one supping pints or getting tanked up
Charlie Endell
Airport lounges and bars provide a necessary service at 6am for us allkies . They're the alcoholic equivalent of the early-morning chemist providing methadone. Edited February 5, 2015 by Charlie Endell
