Very sensible and well balanced statement.

Can you imagine that had happened in the OF game at the weekend!!!

The fall out if this happened during an OF match would be biblical.

A massive thing that's been consistently missed by the VAR teams, both in Scotland and elsewhere, is that they are only meant to intervene when there has been a CLEAR and OBVIOUS ERROR by the officials on the pitch.

This is yet another example of VAR getting involved when there hasn't been a clear and obvious error during the match.

I said before VAR came in that we shouldn’t be throwing any more money at the refereeing fraternity until there was root and branch reform of the whole thing. The clubs should withdraw funding until that happens. We’d be cheaper paying foreign refs than supporting this lot any further!

Hopefully this is the incident which fucks VAR off in Scotland

VAR is a good tool and can add value. It’s the application of it in Scotland that’s shockingly bad (and England from what I’ve seen tbf). A full review of how it’s used is needed and if that means benching it for a few seasons then so be it.

I was against VAR or technology for anything other than factual decisions. Ie ball crossing the line, offside or was a foul inside or outside the box.

Ive softend my views a little as its good for correcting really bad errors however I think there needs to be a bigger review on the rules to start with (handball especially) and thereafter what VAR should get involved in.

Ive always thought we shouldnt be slowing down replays. Certainly not to super slow mo. A few times full speed and then a couple 3/4 speed should be enough.

The wolves VAR incident = holy shit

I honestly can't think of any other time where fans are almost unanimously against something....yet the authorities continue with it.

VAR has to get fucked.

Seems strange 16x decisions aren't being disclosed, as yet.

VAR review panel says 26 Scottish Premiership decisions incorrect

This is the type of information that should be put in headlines rather than what they have went with. The general footballing fan was calling out for VAR obviously with the logic that we would significantly reduce the 10% of incorrect key decisions (if these stats are to be believed). An expectation that we would ever get to 100% agreement on decisions is obviously unrealistic

I'm not saying VAR is close to being perfectly implemented. But  folk are quick to forget the uproar there used to be when a bad decision was made by a person who saw it once at full speed, where 1 replay could easily bring about the correction. But that's football fans for you, grass is always greener.

What I don't get (and I'm sure I've whinged about this before) is how we can have a situation where a referee  gives a red card on the field, is asked to review by VAR, sticks with his onfield decision, the club then appeal the red card and it's upheld only for us then to be told months later that it was incorrect decision.  That's simply unacceptable when they've had 3 opportunities to get it right.

Even at youth level the refs give the huns everything.

I'm watching the youth Cup final, this ref would be better off handing the cup to the young huns.

Never a penalty but you got away with the keeper one.

What other 2 clips then?

If you fail to see 2 blatant decisions I've shared going Rangers way then you're off your tits.

You're probably eating an orange with your sash on as we speak.

What am I even watching on these clips? Not sure what point is being made.

1st one - blatant shirt pull which should be a yellow, no more, don't even get to see what the decision was

2nd one - boy clearly moves his hand from his side upwards to elbow the ball, basically identical to the Goldson handball in the old firm.

3rd one - keeper wipes the boy out, ref gives nothing, actually it's not a red cause he's already got the shot away, yellow at most.
