McGinn is not at his best, Robertson left out on Saturday as was Tierney yesterday while McKenna had a bit of a nightmare as well. Adams made a balls up of a goaline header and punched it into the net. As for Dykes, is he still starting for QPR?. Add to that Gilmour who has just signed for Brighton but hasn't played for weeks. I suppose at least Paterson and Hickey are doing well, but a lot of our regulars aren't in top form. Maybe time for a few new starters like McKay at Hearts and Ross Stewart at Sunderland. Its not all doom and gloom. Been suggested that Robertson was rested for champions league. Adams has been excellent this season, one bad miss doesn't change that. If Stewart carries on at current rate of improvement he will be competing for the starting spot Burke has started well and looks a better 3rd choice striker than Dykes. Mcginn is the massive worry. csinclair Posted September 6, 2022 Share Posted September 6, 2022 Haven't had a chance to watch Villa yet this season but from the people I've spoken to who have, their whole midfield shape has been a mess, especially trying to accommodate players like Coutinho and McGinn has suffered as a result.
