  1. Past hour
  2. I have arranged a friendly match for Saturday 15th June at 14:30 against a local amateur Munich team. They are hosting us with drinks, a bbq, and a DJ afterwards. We are however in need of a goalkeeper to play 45minutes or 90minutes depending on the availability of our other goalie. Any goalies out there who play okay on a hangover??
  3. I thought that the Gibraltar team had started playing games in Gibraltar, and it seems that was correct up until the end of 2022. It seems like they played all their home games in Portugal last year and don't have any scheduled plans to play home matches outside of Portugal this year either, which also includes Nations League matches against Liechtenstein and San Marino. So not sure what the story is there. The attendance for those 2 Nations league games could even be less than 100. As Gibraltar is on my diminishing list of countries not visited in Europe I am quite disappointed not to be going there. Mind you I don't suppose some of the locals would be too happy if a bunch of kilt wearing alcoholics showed up belting out anti British verbals.
  4. Today
  5. I admittedly have a bit of an obsession with what happens down there compared to up here but there's an almost daily issue that contributes to that. Just now on the radio they're about to have a phone-in about water contamination causing illness in the Southern Water area. A bloody phone in!! Is that the level of scrutiny and recourse we're at now?! If that was up here there would be wall to wall travesty coverage and it would be directed at the Scottish govt. I was wondering the other day if Jackie Baillie will continue attacking the NHS if she ends up in a proper job...
  6. Yeh Gunn will stay our number 1 for the foreseeable future unless he has a total mare for us maybe in consecutive games or loses his club position long term. Couldn't agree more on Cooper & Hanley, they shouldn't be selected but I'll be surprised especially in Coopers case if he isn't. McLean will definitely be in, he has had a good club season as well as some very good moments in a Scotland shirt. McLean is versatile & I'm pretty sure could do a decent job off the bench at the back so this is another reason players like Hanley & Cooper should be fazed out. If it's true Clarke is naming his 26 man squad before the English Play off final or Scottish cup final it seems his mind is already made up so does that mean there's no chance for Fraser , Forrest or even Ross Stewart to make a late impression, think that's rather sad if so..
  7. Gunn didn’t exactly cover himself in glory, especially for the first two goals but he also had a few good saves as well. One in particular was outstanding. Hopefully his confidence wasn’t dented too much as Clarke will be starting him against Germany regardless of what he saw last night.
  8. Hi sorry, just seeing this I got one for 300 from a mate. Sure you'll shift it nae probs. Looks like I'm going to Belgium v Slovakia though
  9. Presumably not going to allow the billboards to say anything about plundering Scotland to meet England's energy needs. He'll also have to omit the thousands of new teachers one - unless he's forgotten that it's a devolved issue.
  10. I don't think Gunn has really let us down. Goalkeepers make mistakes, even the best. We could still do with some back up. If Gunn was injured for any length of time, there's a big drop in quality and experience and Craig Gordon is not getting any younger.
  11. Gunns been great for us so not concerned about the odd poor match like this. Kenny McLean was rank & Cooper either doesn’t play or plays for 5 mins occasionally so don’t think either of them should make the squad. Pick younger options instead
  12. They reported this week on Labour's 6 key pledges if they get into office but supposedly the billboards will be different in Scotland and Wales. Did Sarwar mention anything about this or what they might say?
  13. I think everyone was so desperate for a competent keeper that we really overpraised Gunn in the qualifiers. He didn't really do anything exceptional that I can recall. I think the first goal from the free kick was one of those things but he was partially at fault for two of the other goals. I don't think Gordon has been that great for Hearts or I think Clarke would be considering him as his number 1.
  14. salmond again head and shoulder above the rest, flyn was constantly ganged up on and i was hoping salmond would help him out at times,, he did ok,, sarwar is there for the taking on his oil and gas stance,, the SNP need to go for the jugular
  15. Haha Yeh the magical mystery tour to get there could be a challenge haha. Looking forward to it. Breaks up the trip a bit!
  16. Do not know if there is a longer quote but Callum Mcgregor saying about Forrest for right wing back to solve our injury crisis in that position but not saying anything about Ralston I thought was interesting.
  17. Lol I swear he is about 10 years old so I don't wanna be harsh on him but the posts are just rambling nonsence
  18. Cat 3's for 250 quid once include fees (60 Euro tickets)
  19. The way GilmourFan talks about tactics and positions, sometimes I'm not sure if he's ever watched any game
  20. Gunn had a horrible 45 mins last night but was pulled off some good saves in the second half. Thought at the start of the campaign when he came into the side he looked very calm and composed but a little less so since he's come back from injury but hopefully he can shake it off and get back to how he was as he's clearly a very good keeper and likely our number 1 for the foreseeable. I like Cooper but given how he was only brought on for essentially a cameo at the end he surely can't be considered for a major tournament. Neither can Hanley for me though I wouldn't be surprised if Souttar misses out through injury and one of them takes his place
  21. I take it you didn't watch the game then and just trying to guage his performance either from a match report or a stats website? He didn't have a terrible or great game and didn't seem suited in anyway to a more forward role that he was interlinking with Bruno Fernandes.
  22. For the small number who'll be travelling, they should just have played the game actually in Gibraltar. That would work perfectly for me, I'm over there for work that week lol!
  23. 3 youngsters would be my choice if Clark does go with the 3 extra players.
  24. Poland play very few of their Nations League games in Warsaw, I think they have only played something like 2 of their last 8 Nations League games in Warsaw. Polsih FA president said that "at least one of the 3 games will not be in Warsaw", and they were suppose to announce the venue after the Play Off's a couple of months ago, but have not done anything on it. Could be anywhere to be honest, from Gdansk to Wroclaw, and anything in between
